Jango can fight Jedi well, I've never seen Boba fighting Jedi well...

The one time we've seen Boba fight a Jedi, he fell down screaming. ;) Jango, on the other hand, actually managed to do some damage. He killed a Jedi, and fought another to a standstill before getting his cabeza lopped off. :D

Jango, cause Boba got killed by a blind guy with a stick.

1. this thread has already happened before

2. boba didnt die when he got hit by a blind man with a stick - i just cant stress that enough

3. its boba because he was trained from a very young age by a talented person whereas jango had to teach himself

anyway, you cant judge people by what you see of them in films...they have a whole life to show people what they can do -and that isnt shown in the films

But the stuff in the films is the only evidence you can use when doing this sort of thing, because it's the only "canon" material we have. :)

Arghhhhhhh

When I read this thread title I thought it was going to be something cool, and intelligent, and original. Instead it's the 1,233rd posting of this same exact thread

If you watch the movies, and then sit back and think about it (disregarding EU sources), Boba Fett would be better. Why? Because he had the benefit of training from someone who knew exactly how to best utilize his skills. I mean after Jango left Boba would continue to hone his skills, but he would have the advantage of his 'father's' training to guide him. Logicially by the time we see Boba in action in EpV, he would be experienced enough to be a more skilled bounty hunter.

Ooooh, that's no excuse, there were like 2 of these kinds of polls in at least the last week, and you've been around that long

:p, I was just dissapointed because I thought I would get the chance to be a pedantic smartass, and now I'll have to wait :(...or will I... *rubs hands together evilly*) :D

okay... well... i'm going to take EU into account... and thus being said... i think boba would win...
boba is like a Hitokiri Battousai (Leon the proffesional [the proffesional], or Jon Li [the replacement killers] if you don't know Kenshin) for star wars.

Boba's got all the rockin eqiupment that Jango had... wrist rockets, flame throwers, grappling hooks... Slave I... and he was smart too.

Although i liked Jango's dual-blaster action (a nod to Jon-Woo's gunplay stile) i'm dissappointed with his death (decapitation? plz)

1) EU is cannon, like it or not. Boba lives.

2) Jango was trained as a warrior starting as a pre-teen/ young teen. Boba was trained from birth.

Boba all the way.

EU is not canon. :)

It seems like Jango die becozz of his Jetpack malfunction and a Jedi as well as his own son too.Genetic Curse?

EU is not canon by deinition. The movies are canon. Boba sucked in the movies. Jango at least went toe to toe with a few jedi, and killed one. Even if you take EU into account, Boba isnt all that great, I've read most of the stuff on Boba, and he was the best bounty hunter only becuase the alternatives suck. Dengar? Bah.

Jango is better then boba.

Oh please, I beg you, Spare me of your EU stuff. I would say only about 20% of it goes along with the movies.

I know it's hard to accept, but Boba Fett Died in that sarlac pit, after he was hit into it by a bling Han Solo.

Lucas Licensing, who themselves can do nothing without GL's permission, has repeatedly stated that anything not directly contradicting the movies is cannon.

Well, I just don't trust the EU. They all are like mere huge fanfics to me. The only EU book I think goes along with the movies would be "Shadows of the Empire."

its george lucas that decided EU was star wars so im afraid you have to live with it :( i know that EU gets out of hand a lot but id be so annoyed if there wasnt more to star wars than the films....i would demand more stories! :D

Ok, Obi-wan is about 5'7", and Jango, is at least five inches shorter. Inexplicably Boba, seems to be a lot taller than his clone. So I'll go with Boba, Jango's just an ankle biter.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I myself think that around half the novels are crap. The comics fare much better, only about 20-25% crap shows up there. But there are some stellar books as well. Namely anything by Timothy Zahn or Micheal Stackpole. Not to mention that Lucas used more than a few things from the EU when doing the Prequals and SE movies, such as Darth Maul saber, the Outrider, or similar ship and ASP droids at Mos Eisley in ANH SE, and Aayla Secura in AotC.

And just in case anyone thinks I'm wrong, here's a quote:

Things that Lucas Licensing does not consider official parts of the continuous Star Wars history show an Infinities logo or are contained in Star Wars Tales. Everything else is considered canon. -Sue Rostoni, Editor Lucasfilm Licensing in Star Wars Gamer 6, Oct/Nov. 2001 Issue pg113.

Star Wars Gamer is/was (on "hiatus" due to low sales") a magazine that covered all Star Wars games - video/computer, rpg, card, as well as printing short stories by licensed authors, such as the aforementioned Timothy Zahn. The Infinities logo basically desgnates an alternate reality story.

Yes, but even the Zahn stuff was crapped on by Episode II, re-read it sometime, you'll find that his outline of the Clone Wars was WAY off. Sorry, but ever since Lucas said 'I'll roll over EU if I want, EU hasn't counted for anything. If you want some more proof, ask yourself who Journeyman Protecter Jaster Mereel was...(or however you spell it:p).

Boba Fett manages to survive the whole 6 movies, I think that should up his credibility some. Both Fetts died like bitches so it is irrelevant.

Considering the time period between Ep1 and 2, and Boba's age, he wasn't even cloned and kicking in Ep1. :p

And EU is not Cannon. Example - the jedi younglings are trained on ships? No, on Coruscant. Clone Wars are waaaay off. Death Star created by Maw installation scientists? Hell no. I like the EU, but I don't count it as cannon.

Jango died when Boba was 10 years old I doubt that he got very much training from his "father". And also, what do you know about Jangos father? Perhaps he was a famous bounty hunter too.
