I never got a welcome basket either. But then again, I was not brave enough to tell everyone that I was new.

I am not used to getting complimentary gifts. When I renewed my Star Wars Fan Club membership the first time, I was supposed to get a Luke Skywalker Floaty Pen and it never came. The second time I renewed my Star Wars Fan Club membership, I was supposed to get a Boba Fett Pez dispenser.....nothing came. I wrote the fan club and they sent me a gift certificate to use at the Jawa Trader. This year I let my membership lapse and I buy the magazine at the book store. The Swap meet at in The Ghetto on Coruscant has a good deal on Pez despensers and Floaty Pens.
