I know a few maps can be viewed (the ones in the map folder) but what about all the other .bsp files? How can we look at editable .map files for all of raven's other maps? Id like to see how they did a few things...

I've tried DeBSP, but it seems to be only for RtCW. I've heard that q3map can decompile BSPs, but I don't have it, so I don't know. Besides, JO's BSPs are gonna be different in some ways than others, so it won't always work.

Rich I heard a rumor that they are about to release a .bsp extracter that is supposed un-compile a .bsp to .map..

So maybe.. but not sure if that is a myth or something to expect soon.. :rolleyes:

Possible, but every Q3MAP based decompiler thus far removes all curve and texture information, and thus typically aren't all that useful anyway..

If you just want to look at scripts, most every type of script is used in kejim_post... :)

Yea, but its nice to find something in SP and to be able to look at it in Radiant and think How did they do that?? you know?

There is WinBSP, I think that is more for halflife I have not tried it, also "bsp2map" and again I have not tried it...
