View Full Version : Weird misc_models of invisibility

I've just began work on a new SP map, which opens in a landing bay area. Naturally, I stuck in a couple of different spacecraft for the realism factor, and coated them in physics_clip brushes. However.... in the game, I can bounce off the clip brushes all I like, but the ships just don't appear! I've tried a clone without the clip brushes and the models again were invisible.
Has this happened to anyone else? The misc_model entity was working a few days ago.....

Usually if that sort of thing happens, you either have the model clipping the floor/wall where you placed it or you didn't actually put the model path in correctly.

I thought that at first, but now I have new info - only some of my entities are appearing!
For example, NPCs and models do not appear, whereas info_player_starts and ref_tags do! I'm pretty sure this has only happened since I installed the second toolkit, maybe that's made it go mad?

did you check to see if you have your entities to show correctly? i.e. go the View Menu and then Entities As-> and it should be either bounding box or skinned and boxed.

Yeah, they're showing correctly in radiant, but in the game, they're just a few clip brushes. NPC's still aren't appearing either, unless I spawn them ingame. I'm very puzzled.
