View Full Version : Where is Kyle?
When I play my new maps or a new game, my character is Tavion and not Kyle. I don't remember downloading anything new that replaces Kyle. The only thing new that I have downloaded and played was the Tavion Single Player level. I loaded it as a Mod but nothing else. Help!

My advice is to make a custom folder in your base directory called "MODS"
now, move your tavion.pk3 mod in there (also, every other mod/level you download) and only put them in the base directory when you want to play them. Otherwise keep them in the mod directory and out of the base one.
Whats happening is, the game is running the tavion.pk3, which changes the player to tavion, and changes your lightsaber. Once you move this file out of the base directory, It should run just as usual.
I have different folders for each mod so I don't understand what maybe causing this issue. I haven't tried to delete the mod to see if it corrects the matter. I will try tonight. Thank you for your advice.
I have deleted the Mod but I am still not Kyle. HELP!
You obviously didn't read the readme like a smart person would do and incorrectly installed Tavion or another mod. Just delete the PK3.

Imran's Way Of Mod Management
1. Get A Mod.
2. Extract To A mod In your Gamedata directory called "X" where X is the name of your mod (winzip should automatically create folder)
3. Start JK2
4. Go to Options...Mods
5. Pick the Name of the Mod you want to play!
This isn't reccomended for skins however, because then you can only do 1 at a time, I reccomend this for Saber Handles though, even though its quite time consuming.
Wow Emon, Thanks for the bright insight.
Anyway, I have deleted the Tavion folder that I had the mod in which included the .pk3. In addition, I do the Mods just like Imran does in his posting. So anyone besides Emon, can provide some real troublshooting answers.
