you don't have the right codec, oooooor you need to download the new version of the codec

I'm guessing you've got a DivX file encoded with the old 3.11 drivers (which caused this problem for users with a later code). Go to www.divx.com and downloaded the latest package from there. Should sort it out

i've got a similar question (and there's really no point in starting a new topic, that's just irritating for everyone) but how come i can't play MPEG's, or actually, and MPEGAV, i don't think there's much of a difference, but if there is, some please tell me and tell me how to play one, or what i need to play one (won't work on Windows Media Player (i think i've got version 8, whatever comes with XP)) so what do i do?
