Right now mostly Linkin Park, POD and David Bowie.

BTW......I got Ozzfest tickets.......so ;P !!!

Geez I'm the only one who voted oldies? I voted that becasue punk nor ska were on there. But hey ska's dead & punk sucks anyways, right? (that's a joke, kids) Right now I'm listening to the Del Vikings- Whispering Bells. I find do wop to be some of the fanciest music ever.

07-17-2002, 04:03 PM
Punks my fav, but i listen to all types of music other than country and rap.

07-17-2002, 06:31 PM
I listen to everything other than country, pop and rap. And I mean anything.

Classical, Jazz, Cuban Music (it rocks you should check it out)

Rock is the closest thing so I picked that. My tastes are just a bit more odd, though. I suppose the closest explanation would be goth. You take your common death metal with the heavy guitar riffs and the growling and grunting, and throw it in with full blown orchestras, oldish-sounding pianos, choruses, and opera-like singing, all in despondant chords. It sounds awesome, and unfortunately not alot of people have heard of any of these bands. If you want to check this stuff out then I suggest downloading:

Cradle of Filth
Theatre of Tragedy

Some sound more classical-ish than death metal, and others more death metalish than classical. Then still others are about an even balance. But they all incorporate this same blend. I highly suggest checking this genre out.

rock. I'm still in a cold swet from almost choosing star wars background music. jar jar and c-3po endlessly fighting... :freakout:

I would have chosen an "Idie" option if it was there but i suppose Indie is included in Rock. Rock is such a big category though! im not surprised it easily winning.

07-17-2002, 10:14 PM
i'll listen to anything- from chopin to schubert to the beatles to iron maden to dr. dre to brittney spears to garth brooks to prodigy. it's all good.

07-17-2002, 10:22 PM
I listen to lots of things. Mostly Hip-Hop/Rap. Won't listen to Country. I love salsa, Merinque, and Mambo. I like some Rock(includes all subcategories). I like Jazz, and classical, Pop, R&B. But if I had to say what I listen to more than anything it would be Hip-Hop/Rap.

07-17-2002, 10:23 PM
I'm not going to vote, because I enjoy listening to several different types of music. Rock, Heavy Metal, Classical, Country, Folk, Medieval, 50s, 60s, 70s, some movie/game soundtracks...

Anyone remember Tommy Vance's Friday Rock Show? Great radio show... Rock on Tommy. ;)

07-17-2002, 10:28 PM
I love whatever sounds cool or funny to me, and that ranges through many types of music, so even though I picked rock cause I really wanted punk up there. I still listen to many other things.:deathii:

07-17-2002, 10:36 PM
I like rock, but also alternative music, indie and anything I can enjoy. I hate rap and heavy metal stuff though...

Well, I'm not going to vote, because I listen to too many different types of music. I like mostly harder stuff, but I like a lot of easier listening as well. I think System of a Down has to be my favourite band, I've liked them since before they got signed on to American Records. Also Darklighter, I too cannot stand Rap, and Elegy, Cradle of Filth are amazing. I honestly don't know how Dani can scream like that, and still have a throat left. And he smokes too! That just kills your throat.

PS: Anything by John Williams is awesome:D

07-17-2002, 11:31 PM
Hey!!! Whats wrong with rap?

07-17-2002, 11:35 PM
I am a fan of all music. There is not much that I dont like. But since that was not an option, I just choose yoda, its the next closest thing.

07-17-2002, 11:56 PM
... Okay... this is sad... I live in Oklahoma... over 90% of the radio stations around her play country, rap, latin/spanish, "Gossple" music... and I dont like any of it... lol :S all that means is I have to search all the time over the stations for good songs... :S not all the stations play a spacific genre...

07-18-2002, 12:18 AM
There is actually a song called Yoda ( by Weird Al Yankovic)wich I have on mp3. I'm listen to it rigth now. Good song.

i also think David Bowie is great! he auditioned to be Elrond in Fellowship of the Ring but he got turned down :( its a shame about that because he would have been cool!

07-18-2002, 11:02 AM
call me crazy, but i like eminem's song, Without Me

07-18-2002, 11:25 AM
I'm torn between Starwars background music and Yoda....

07-18-2002, 10:35 PM
I think Eminem is good but I think Ozzy Osbourne is better. :D

07-18-2002, 10:40 PM
I like alot of various types of music so I chose Yoda:) Cause I guese he is open minded.
I like Rock, some jazz, some classical, oldies, old school techno, hip-hop, some break beats, drum&bass.
Everything I guese except country.
I hate Rap. Especially the rap they play on the radio. Im mostly into the underground hip-hop scene. And yes rap and underground hiphop are different. Just most have never heard of the latter. Other people dont know the difference unless they hear it.
By the way- I went to highschool with Joseph Hahn.He is in Linkin Park. He is the DJ and does producing for them. Also System of a Down are from around were I live at. They used to perform here in little clubs and stuff way before they got signed.
Also John Williams is awsome.
