i am not sure this goes here but how do i use a custom avatar i have the pic saved when i press browse button i pick it then it says its to big so i make it smaller it says its to big ive made the picture really small but it still dosent work whats wrong

Note: the maximum size of your custom image is 70 by 70 pixels or 20000 bytes (whichever is smaller).

Unless it's a Gif file with a helluva lot of images, you're probably saving your avatar image in .bmp format. Try saving it as .gif or .jpg from your paint or other editting program and see what happens. :D

Its not working ive saved it in jgp or what ever ive been using my paint its a small pic what could i be doing wrong should the pic be the size it is in the forms posts

Whats the filesize and dimensions of your pic? Make sure you do JPEG compression of roughly 1/2 quality at the most.

The pic has to be 70 by 70 pixels max and under 20,000 bytes (20kb). It can be a bmp, but jpeg or gif will work better. Try loading another AVATAR. If that works then your pic is too big or something.

Are you sure its 70 PIXELS?? i was trying to make an avatar and i kept on making them too big and i hadnt got a clue what was going on. After i while i realised i was working in milimetres! :eek:

I use Corel 10 instead. I like the photo filters better. Plus it supports more filetypes including Adobe. :D
