this is my first saber model ever...it's the 3d one!
what do you think..will take good comments and suggestions...any other ideas on the grips..i used milkshape and i made a sphere and flattened it..please no bad comments
oh and is there a demo for 3d studio max..if so can i have the link please

Looks very good! :D I'm not no expert on the poly buisness but looking at other models where people say "the poly's are too high!" It looks like the polys are very high! Other than that excellent on your first job! Well done!

Ahhh i see! :D I think you have great potential of becoming a great modeller. It may be a far way to the top but you could be up there with the great modellers one day :D
im only 14 years old...of cource there are modelers out there that are probably younger than me...but i think it's good for a first try thing

I wrote a UVW mapping tutorial, I was going to contact Midget Yoda and have him post it on the site. I am happy to give you the file. *note* its about 98% done.

i dont know of any demo for 3dsmax but if you cant get it i would advise gmax. Its basically the same as 3dsmax.

technically gmax is the demo version of 3d studio max. you can try getting it elsewhere and just using it for the 30 day trial. But what about gmax don't you understand?

assssssskkkk888- pretty good model for a first time.Dont let age stop you from modeling .Im only 15 and i still create models but i cant seem to get them in game or UVWrap them .I would show you a screenie of my model (its based off of Zekk's saber in the Young Jedi book series) but i dont have a website to post it on :(
