Does anyone know of a good, free program which can convert wav's to mp3's at 44.100 Hz?
The Winamp plugins don't do the necessary samplerate, quite appart from the fact that they create an mp3 which sounds like a strangled parrot...

I'm looking for a tool that does this too.
I'll go browse download.com and let you know if I found anything usefull..

Yeah, I had a look there...gave up after I used three programs which only gave me a 'squak' instead of a converted sound :(

I found "Mp3 To All Converter" which seems a good tool but I cannot find a serial for the trail version that I have :(

i do! its an old school software that has stopped development but its good! it can even convert RA files and WMA files, its called streambox ripper, created by the once famous media software company streambox (now they discontinued all products and turned into a company that does something else), anyways go to here to get it : http://www.geocities.com/sr29mirror1/

find a crack for it in astalavista.box.sk :D happy converting
