How do I make shiney surfaces...like Jango fett's armor...and Vader's helmet...stuff like that.

you need to utilize a shader. ie. armour shaders.

Reeeeeally...thought it had to do with shaders...but I'm still clueless about how to use shaders.

why dont you use the hours you spent trying to get an answer here to go find out how to do it yourself? i mean im not tryin to be mean or anything but you should just reply once and wait for someone else to reply rather than spamming these threads with useless stuff like me....need...shiny.....things....
So rather than tryin to pump this community for some info, why dont you type in www.yahoo.com or www.google.com or www.skindom.com and search for it yourself!
Hold on i gotta catch my breath now *huff*

Ewww....I'll pass on searching for endless amounts of websites and few having tutorials...and none having what I'm looking for.

well then stop bothering the community with useless cries for help if your not going to do a fare share of the work. Your expecting for someone to hold your hand and guide you through this like a baby. Well, im pretty sure your not a baby considering you can type. So if your not going to help the community, then dont expect the community to help you.

You havent seen me help antone cause you dont hang around the Modleing forums. I help Newbies who respect someone who will help them. Unlike you. I believe this thread is useless so im gonna stop wasting my time with you.

Reespect someone....riiiight. I've somehow disrespected...someone...by asking a question....hummm. Well you are a retard...given.....and you can go whine on another thread then.

Well you don't need shaders to do a shiny surface, was just reading Master Shawns Trebor Coleman saber thread in the modeling forum and he mentioned that he made a metal texture in fireworks 4 to make his saber hilt look shiny.
ironically he was telling that to BakerS8er lol.

Haha....oh well Bake..whatever...doesn't like me for some reason even though I've never even talked to him in a thread. Oh well...everyone can't like you I guess.
Thx for the tip! I've modeled my saber...but I'm having trouble unfolding it to be skinned. I'll figure it out sometime I guess though....the tutorial I was using isn't much help with it right now.
LOL....just went to that thread you were talking about. Hummmm I accidently posted the same thing 2 times on this thread I believe...and Baker was acting like I was a retard cuz of that. Lets take a peek at the other thread....wow....Baker posted the same comment 2 times as well. WOOPS!
