how much of the units/buildings/whatnot will be part of the expanded universe, and how much comes straight from the movies? Being somewhat knowledgeable of the EU, I was confused a little while reading some stuff. I don't remember what, but I did get lost a couple times.

Gee, I don't really know how to answer this...I guess whatever you didn't see in the movie but you see in the game is EU....at least thats what I consider it :)
It seems like they aren't going to be putting in many "unique units" from the Eu, such as Thrawn in, which is a big disapointment :( Lets hope they really are going to release more EU characters then it sounds like :)

well, gaber said that half of the units in this game were either created thru imagination or by borrowing other sources of material such as EU books, essential guides, etc. so there's a chance that there will be some EU units in here (such as mara jade). i don't know about grand admiral thrawn, kvan, i hope he's at least in the scenario editor...

I've read plenty of books, there are plenty I havn't read, so, I'm hoping for things like thrawn, while many vehicles are making me go, huh? where is that from? how much of this stuff is made up?

It seems like almost all of the Naboo/Gungan, TF and Wookiee units are made up. The Rebels and Empire seem to be a mix of EU and Movie units. :)

Yep, Kvan is correct.

Anyways, here's how i think it went down.
1. They used all the units from the movies that they could.
2. They used all of the Units they could find in the EU
3. they used old sketches that never made it into the movies

2 and 3 could be switched
