And I got a C (in maths). Thing is, I did it two years early, so I have two years left...but what should I do in those 2 years? Don't just vote, post your thoughts.

well, if anyone cares, i didn't do mine two years early, but i have just done them. these are my results (instead of posting a totally new topic for it, i thought i'd just put it here)

IT = C (don't care really, never very good in IT theory, killed em in the coursework, but in the end, it's the exam that counts.)
Art = C (kinda dissapointed, but my teacher said that the guy who graded my artwork wasn't as impressed as he should have been and no one got any higher than this anyway, so we were all pretty good, but the guy who graded us was an *******)
English = B
English lit = B
Maths = B
Science = BB (double award so 2 B's)
French = B
History = B

so on the whole, i did pretty well and i'm pleased. just incase anyone wanted to congratulate me.

and feral, i think you once said to me that you didn't like maths that much, but you did it 2 years early because you were good at it and they made you. i think you should go for whatever you like instead of doing maths because you would do well in it (unless your chosen career needs maths in which case go for it, but if you like IT, you've got two years free of maths to get used to it, and then you can do maths later, think about it) hope this helps. by the way, i didn't vote because i've just told you what i think so there is no reason to.

Do you really wanna do math? I remember when I got to VCE at highschool, my dad tried to force me into doing it, even though I was hopeless at it, so I chose the subjects I wanted to do (he wanted me to do the famous 5, math methods, english, biology, chemistry and physics- yeah right I still didn't even know the purpose of an atom let alone what the hell a right angle was)

If there's something you love more than math, then do what you wanna do, but if you want to redo maths and improve your grades well go for it. Having a better math grade could be the difference between you getting the course you want and not (mind you I have no idea how the English education system works, so I'm just guessing and basing it around the Aussie school system)

If you want to be something like an artist I don't really see how math is gonna help, of course if you want to be an accountant, you're gonna need math. Maybe think about what you wanna do when you get older and base your decision on that

Maths is a lot more important, you can always do IT at AS level.

2 years early? o_O

I just signed up for 6th form College today, actually.
I shall be studying Psychology, Maths, IT, Business Studies & General Studies.

My GCSE results were good, especially compared to my mocks (which I didn't really....bother with...I got a C in Maths..)

Maths: A*
Maths Stats: A
English: A*
English Lit: C
Science: AA
Geography: A
Busines Studies: A
German: C
Design Systems & Control: D

Anyway, GCSEs arent too important - as long as you have 5 A-C's, you're fine - AS & A2 levels are a lot more important.
