I haven't been on the forums lately, due to working on the new website, or taking breaks away from the computer.
Anyway, the website will feature yet another game's screenshots in it. JKII, and JKI are the obvious games included, but there's going to be quite a few that are unrelated to Star Wars, which is why the backgrounds are simple and don't have themes.
It'd be really messy to have lightsabers on one side and space fighters on the other.... oops! Said too much. He he.
Colors basically match the logo, dark backgrounds with bright words, things like that.

I'm having a few problems with JKII screenies.

1- Is there a specific name for the folder you need for the pics to go?
2- Do you have to bind a key for "screenshot."?

Another question:

Which is best: jpeg's posted directly onto the page, or simply links to screenshots?
The jpegs on the page would blow up modem users' computers, and links could have virus problems.

Also, what features do you recieve when you're hosted by JKII.net?

BTW, I'm posting things about a website because I want to hear opinions, tips, suggestions and things from the people who'll probably use the site.
In other words, I don't want to spend all my time on something nobody will enjoy.

1, yes, they are in the "screenshot" map in the base folder
2, u have to type in the console: "\bind x screenshot"
3. i think posting miniatures on the page, and if you click them, you can view the large picture, that is the best linking way
4, i dont know

i think it will be nice, if you make a good site

Thanks, that'll help a lot.
Uh... "map"? A folder for screenies?
Sorry... never bothered with jkii pics before.

My jkii.net hosted site supports php w/ gd libs. They can get you a MySQL account, email addresses @yourhost.jediknightii.net, web usage statistics, and a very simple news updating script. It's pretty rad. My only gripe is the hosted server seems rather busy, so your site may go down every now and then. Make backups frequently. Don't expect to get too much help from the admins if things look weird. I cant bitch too loudly though, it's still free hosting. :)

The news script'll definitely come in handy. But where can i find a script that takes people's screenies they've posted, makes a thumbnail link to the actual pic, and displays a comment about it all at once?
