dunno, i didn't downloaded it, but i do see, that winXP becomes slower the more time u use it, while the programs itself don't become more or less

Well I notice IE seems slower with SP1.

Not sure why that it is.. just seems to hang while waiting for a page. Games seem the same though.

I just reinstalled windows & put SP1 on. The system seems a weeee bit slower, but its barely noticable.

SP 3 for 2000 Pro was a major plus and added to performance. Tis why I went the 2000 Pro route and lost XP Pro very willingly.
