How do you import exisiting models into GMax?

I know its probably a stupid question, but I've never done this before. I just got GMax and I've Unzipped all the player models from the JKII Resource zip Raven had, but I can't open any of them in GMax.

you need 3dsmax to open the .xsi files directly.

but with milkshape you can import the model and export it to something gmax can import. at least i think.
