FPS - Hint Brushes

All i know about hint brushes is it increases the FPS in a level, can someone please explain how to get hint brushes and how to place them correctly because i also heard they slow the BSP down a lot if its set wrong..... thanks for any help

Well hint brushes are supposed to decrease r_speeds and increase FPS if they're done correctly. Here is a link to probably the best tutorial on the subject. Good luck :)
