Anyone know what happened to Motionman ? I haven't seen him post for some while. I was just wondering if any of you had any info. Thanks.

I have sealed my Medetation Chamber, removed my breathe-mask and helmet, crossed my legs and plugged my computer systems into the Droid Brain at my nearest WHSmith's, awaiting the news that the "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones" DVD has arrived and passing the time by medetation, concentration on the dark side and counting the money in my wallet, making sure I have enough in reserve.

15... 18... 19.99p: good, my first count of the day...

(Well leXX vanished on us for a while too. :( But hooray she came back! :D )

Many threads here are slowing down I gather.
I do my best to keep the Aayla thread alive though and keep all you peeps informed and all! :) (Thanks for contributing so much leXX btw!)

Agent Smith-
I see ET Warrior over at the Swamp now, he's there most of the time. Hannibal I see over at SWkotor, though I think he posts more @GB.com, and yes still curious as to where MotionMan went........I did pm ET, so we'll see if he knows anything. :D

I just looked at MotionMan's profile and he has posted since Sept 2.......so he's not hangin' around at all....:(

You should check out the swamp if you haven't already.......I want more discussions on Aayla!! ;)

You newbies know nothing of memories. :p

I have great memories of classic events... in fact, if you look towards my signature, you will realise I speak the truth when I say my favourite "Star Wars" scene ever (including "Attack of the Clones") is the lightsaber duel between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi aboard the Death Star battle station. I can still clearly remember shaking with tension, sweating with fear and gazing in disbelief in the cinema, 1977, eight years old, "A New Hope". I wish I was back there, now... what a classic film...

Actually, I was talking forum-wise. ;)

I remember oging to see episode II the day it came out, and I remember the laughs people laughed when Anakin made his rather pathetic moves on Padme.

Aye, this forum did sort of simply die. Very sad thing it is. I found enjoyment over at the swamp, very active that forum is. So that is where i spend my days. I try coming here time and again, but i have so not any free time anymore. Very sad. :(

Is there an Aayla thread or discussion at the swamp?

The only laughs eminating from British cinema's were ones directed towards C-3PO's tragic battle humour. "I'm quite beside myself!" and "This is such a drag!" are so bad that they become funny. Yet, we are laughing at him, not with him, and so the circle of crappy Star Wars humour goes on...

First Jar-Jar Binks, now this... the only good characters are the serious ones.

True that! :D

Though I wouldn't want you all to think that's the only subject I can talk about. :p
(I can talk about other stuff, just little time to!)

I wouldn't worry to much about reviving the forums. I figure when the AotC DVD does come out that people will watch the deleted scenes and listen to the film commentary, which in turn will probably start (or restart) canon/non-canon feuds...

The feuds usually come up when people try to use non-canonical sources to prove things happening in the movie. Non-canonical sources are basically anything not put forth by Lucas himself, including all the novels, computer games, sourcebooks, and the like. The canon would be specifically what Lucas has written and said, including all the movies, interviews with Lucas, and the scripts (for the most part anyway).

An common example of a canon/non-canon debate entails the apparent death of Boba Fett. In novels following RotJ, Boba Fett has escaped the Sarlaac and is free to wreck havoc. Those that follow the movie canon strictly fall into one of two catagories: 1) Boba Fett is dead or 2) Boba Fett may be dead, but nothing is certain. (I'm the last type, so I have no problems stirring up trouble until someone can give me irrefutable proof that Lucas states that Fett is dead... which may happen when RotJ is released on DVD).

Oh I know they're not that bad......just some of the ppl you know? They refuse to believe the obviousness (is that a word?:) ) of what really happened. It can get a little frustrating at times........but you know that, you've been around. ;)

Something in my mind suddenly snapped when I was watching a faded, flickering "Episode I - The Phantom Menace" VHS the other day: why not buy the DVD? I was going to reserve a copy of "Episode II - Attack of the Clones" on DVD anyway, so I picked up a copy of TPM while I was there. I'm telling you, my friends: if the AOTC DVD lives up to TPM, then it will be the most amazing thing since the deleted Podrace - Lap Two scene.

Check out that flamethrower... ouch...

Anyway, I also heard a rumour on a website the other day, saying that George Lucas phoned Liam Neeson and offered him a role as a Jedi Spirit in "Episode III", who appeares to Obi-Wan and offers guidence when Anakin turns to the dark side. Apparently, it is Qui-Gon's idea to engage the turned Anakin and destroy him, since he feels partly responsible for finding the boy. Has anyone else heard this?

Yes, many have gone to the swamp, such as myself. You're right it is the best place!!

I'm just glad you're here to revive this place a little bit!! ;)

The topic list is wearing thin unfortunately.........very sad this is. :(
The only thing that really can keep it going is the DVD release!! There has to be other things to talk about!!!

Let's put our heads together!! :D

Also Qui-Gon 64, I did hear a similar report a while ago.......I didn't hear exactly what he would be doing I just heard that it would be similar to what Obi-Wan had done in ESB.

Yah this place has sort of been quiet. I do think that we should make this the General Star Wars forum. Ep II has kind of been talked to death and examined in every way possible. This was the first place I posted and it would be ashame to see something happen to it. I hope this place doesen't get closed. :(

I'm sure we'd get a lot of ppl here if we had a forum that deat with the OT, I think that would be great.

I'm inspired now......I'm going to pm Rhett with some ideas and hopefully he will do everything I want him to!!! :D :p
