View Full Version : Who am I talking to?

Let's play a nice game called "Grim Fandango 'Who am I?'".

It goes like that: somebody posts a quote from Grim Fandango. Then all other members should guess who said this quote and when. Whoever guesses right posts a new quote.

OK, I'll start:
"Oh, I would, but my back..."

Manny. I'm sure I know when but I can't remember exactly

10-14-2002, 02:51 PM
Aye, it's Manny. Or at least I think/hope it is...

"Hmm tempting as it may seem,
I don't think I'm going to jump
into the giant dirtty kitty litter."

Hey, my quote is still unanswered. It is by Manny, but you didn't guess when he sayed it.

10-14-2002, 06:38 PM
Well I am sure it's when you tell him to pick up something, what that thing is I have no idea.

DarthEggPlant that would clearly be Manny when he is in search for the metal detector at the race tracks.

DE's takes place in Carla's tower. If you keep pressing enter, he keeps saying things about jumping.

morshem's I believe would be something that has to do with "Esa Cosa". I'm not sure, but I believe so because it's heavy and I think if while you're holding it, you look at the armor and press enter or something, that might be when he says it. I'm not sure.

Okay, I know it's a cheap rip-off of morshem's Who Am I, but this one's a bit different. Instead of who says the quote, you say who they're telling it to. ^^ I know it sounds stupid, but hey, I'm having fun!

"Wake up, Ese!"

he might say that it the tower
but he says it when at the kitty litter
on the metal gang plank, he only says
it once and then keeps repeating
"No way I'm not going in there!"

actually unless the lines
come from year one I will be terrible
at this game because I do not know
even one tenth of the lines in GF.

10-16-2002, 06:54 AM
No one has guessed it right. I'll give you a clue: "Es enorme!"

Now you should know.

10-16-2002, 09:50 AM
Holey fuggin crep. Doesn't he say that half a dozen times? Wait, I know: Manny talking to the demon guarding the wine cellar? I'm sure that's it.

10-16-2002, 10:00 AM
Yeah, now I remember. It was the giant crane at the edge of the world.

Yawn yawn.

"I look at you, and I see a GARDEN waiting to happen..."

10-18-2002, 07:47 AM
GendoTheGreat guessed it right- it's when using the pick up button on the crane. It's your turn to post a quote.

10-18-2002, 07:55 AM
Well, part of my game is saying who he is talking to. I say merge the threads.

The threads have been merged. from now on say who is saying the quote and who they're saying it to.

10-18-2002, 03:16 PM
So it's my turn to quote?

10-19-2002, 02:23 AM

10-22-2002, 11:22 AM
No new quotes? OK then:

"Quit fooling around!"

10-23-2002, 03:43 AM
I know that one, too. It was Velasco, after Manny made a pass at him in fun, using the age old line "Hey there, Sailor!" I don't know if that line is really age-old, but saying so makes me sound clever and knowledgeable.

I have a quote now.

"Safety Inspection"

10-23-2002, 06:45 AM
Safety Inspection? No idea.

10-26-2002, 12:53 AM
My sister has suggested it might be related to Carla. Is that true?

10-26-2002, 02:15 AM
Yeah, that sounds like the time when Carla is about to strip-search Manny.

11-01-2002, 09:29 PM
Well, since nobod seems to know, I'll post another quote:

"The only way out is to be taken back in."

11-09-2002, 12:28 AM
I expected this game to be more popular.

"the only way out
is to be taken back in."

this is a quote from Salvador
to Manny when Manny is stuck
in glottis' shed in year one.

my quote:

"don't talk little kitty, just run!"

11-10-2002, 06:22 AM
That's Glottis, when you speak with him a few times in the High Roller's Lounge.

"Don't make me come in there!"

11-21-2002, 11:58 PM
Apparently I was wrong, expecting this game to be popular.
