View Full Version : Explanation of "Detail Brushes"?

Could someone please post a link to another post or website, that has a good, simple, straight forward explanation of "detail brushes" vs. "structural brushes"?

I have read on it, but I am not understanding the part of why I need these, if at all. I only understand that they will help with compile time.

Comparing to "detail" and "structural" brushes, what are the plain old brushes that you create when you first start making a map?

P.S. I have a lot of unique situation questions, and will continue sifting through all the past posts, but without the functioning "Search" button, it makes things a little slow. (Can someone make a windmill type mechanism, can someone make a ship "fly" over top of a map using the "func_train", and other questions...)
