We all know that Anakin turns to the dark side
but why???

I think Palpatine tells Anakin that Obi hit on Padme, then he gets all pissed off and turns dark side to whup Obi
aahahhaha
he'll lead stormtroopers in the purge then pick off Jedi's one by one, then he'll use the force to make fallen lightsabers fly around him forming a lightsaber force field
CRAZY!!!

But Seriously, why does he turn?

That's what I'm interested in finding out.

On a side rant, when he does snap, I want to see a scene where he's walking through the halls of the (jedi-whatever) and he's already killed a bunch of jedi. He's walking slowly but intently with a nonignited saber in his lefthand. Then he force pulls one of the fallen Jedi's sabers to his right hand then he finally reaches this door. It slowly slides open, revealing a large group of jedi children with maybe one Jedi teacher in the room with them who was trying to hide them there. All the while, the camera is staying outside the room, looking at Anakin's back. We then see Anakin turn one saber on.. then the other and he begins to step forward as the doors close behind him and it leaves you to your imagination as to what he was doing. BOOYEAH! :evil3:

Yeah way to give everyone nightmares Rhett, :D

Dooku will kill Padme, only it won't be padme, it will be another one of her decoys, but anakin won't know that.
in a rage he will go after dooku, obi will try and stop him.
Anakin kills dooku with all the anger he could muster.
obi-wan turns up, they start arguing,
then ding ding ding, let's get ready to rumble!!!!!!!!!

btw, this is all speculation

Anakin is kicked out of the Jedi Order for marrying Padme. Angry, Anakin tries to get Obi-Wan to put in a few good words for him, to try and get him back into the Order: it doesn't work.

Anakin doesn't take rejection well: he gets very angry indeed. Obi-Wan, feeling responsible for the young Jedi, contacts Padme. The two discuss what happened, and Padme is scared for her safety. She also tells Obi-Wan that she is pregnant: Anakin does not know. Padme goes into hiding at Obi-Wan's instructions (perhaps to Alderaan, because she needs to be around for Leia to remember her in ROTJ).

Anakin, returning to Naboo and finding Padme's house empty, goes mad: he thinks the Jedi have taken her away from him. Finding Obi-Wan, the pair have a shouting match, and Obi-Wan lets slip that he knows where Padme is (but doesn't give away a location). The pair duel, with Obi-Wan sensing the dark side strongly in his former Padawan, and he finally defeats Anakin.

However, watching all this with interest, Darth Sidious appears and tries to kill Obi-Wan. The two duel, and Sidious is revealed to be Palpatine. Obi-Wan is injured, and crawls to his starship and escapes. Palpatine finds Anakin, his real reason for being there, and saves his life. Anakin is grateful, and agrees to become Darth Vader after the Sith Lord gives him life-supporting armour.

Meanwhile, Obi-Wan goes to Alderaan and finds Padme... in labour. When the twins are born, Obi-Wan takes the boy to Tatooine as he goes into hiding himself. The girl remains on Alderaan with Padme and Senator Bail Organa, who takes the pair into his own family.

During all this, Count Dooku will lead a final Separatist attack on Coruscant. Battle Droids clash with Clonetroopers as the Jedi try and locate Dooku himself. Yoda, Mace Windu and several other Masters find the Count with... Chancellor Palpatine, who is preparing to leave (and meet with Obi-Wan and Anakin). Palpatine escapes as the Jedi converge, but Super Battle Droids separate the masters. Mace Windu makes it through the confusion, and duels with Dooku. The Jedi and Sith leap from rooftop to rooftop before Dooku kills Mace. Yoda finally shows up and destroys the Count. The rest of the Jedi die.

When Palpatine returns with Darth Vader, he declairs himself Emperor and uses the Clonetroopers to mop up any resistance to the newly-born Empire. Plans are seen in motion to update the Clonetrooper armour to something called a "StormTrooper", and the Geonosians, working away in the background, deliver a custom-built battle station called "Death Star" to Coruscant. Palpatine hands over control to an officer named Tarkin.

Yoda manages to find a transport and retreats to Dagobah, but not before stopping by Tatooine and meeting Obi-Wan, who is building his own house. The pair discuss Luke, the boy Skywalker, before Yoda tells Obi-Wan he is leaving for Dagobah. The rest, as they say, is history...

Well, that's what I think, anyway...

Dooku2, sounds pretty well thoughtout, but I think you've got the final battle of the Clone Wars coming too late, since I think either Lucas or McCallum have said that the final battle will take place at the very beginning of the movie--like the battle of Hoth in ESB. And I still say Alderaan is gonna be the battleground where the last battle is fought.

Rhett, that is some awesome direction... I really hope that we do see something like that... "I killed them... every single one of them. And not just the men... but the women... and the children..." I have this picture in my head of Yoda standing in the middle of the room where he was training the Younglings, and we see these little bodies surrounding him and Yoda's just shaking his head really sadly.

Bungalow, I've been thinking that there will be a love triangle in the Prequels for a long time... it would harken back to the OT (what would have happened if Luke had gone psycho on Han before he knew Leia was his sister and still wanted her?). I also thought that the triangle would involve Anakin, Padme and Obi-Wan... but now the thought enters my mind of a new triangle: Anakin, Padme and Bail Organa.

Baill will have to have a much larger roll in SW3, fighting in the Clone Wars... I see Padme becoming a kind of warrior senator, also leading troops into battle, possibly on Alderaan, as well. And we know that Padme and Baill end up together since Leia thinks that he is her father in the OT. What think you?

Very close to my idea that Organa takes Padme and Leia into his family on Alderaan! But, also feasable: it could happen. Also, remember: Obi-Wan could not become involved in a love triangle, because he would then be as bad as Anakin for falling in love. Obi-Wan is a serious Jedi, and would do nothing to jepadise his career.

"Beware of your thoughts, Anakin, they betray you. You have made a commitment to the Jedi Order, a commitment not easily broken."

No, Obi-Wan would never fall in love with Padme... I'm voting on the Bail Organa theory.

I think that all you guys have really good ideas. Although, i kinda doubt the scene where Anakin slaughters children, as you said it would be left to the imagination as lucas films are universal a beauty in itself that you can tell an epic story for all people of all ages.:)

Padme hides Luke and Leia from Anakin though, so I don't think it could be her death that makes him go bad. Meh, but who really knows? :D

No Padme wont die in ep3. Leia has to be old enough to remember her as we all know. Rhetts story made me shiver a bit but I got over it, **** happens, so there. But its still a very bad thing.

Man you guys have some of the greatest ideas Ive ever heard of! Im kind of afraid that one of those ideas may happen cause then it would spoil everything. And unless you somehow got leaked info on the script...man it would just ruin it all. But I know George will deliver something better. We all know that. I admire all your ideas but it makes me feel good to know George is a whole lot better. :) No offense of course, you know that. I try not to think too hard about what will happen cause I dont wanna get too many preconceived notions or different expectations on this stuff.

Buuuuutt...I did have a quik daydream on the final scene. As with all ending scenes in SW its all music narrated, no other sound, just music and emotion.

Ahem: *Imperial theme*A big shot of Corruscant with most of the clone army fleet, now imperial ships, decending on the planet, slowly zoom in on a huge balcony overlooking the city where Palpatine is standing with his terrible grin as all the local citizens and the army are looking way up at him as he gives his "take over" speech and he raises his arms in marveled power as Vader stands tall behind him slowly gazing from side to side observing the city.

Cut *Ep2 love theme*to Padme on Alderan as she is nursing Leia and quietly weeping. She slowly hangs her head as Bail looks out on a close by balcony on a gloomy day, holding himself and bitterly shuts his eyes.

Cut *Jedi theme*to Tatooine, we see a Jedi ship landed near the Lars place. Owen and Beru are coming out as Obi-Wan walks toward them with something in his arms. They reach each other and we see that Obi is holding Luke. Owen and Beru are holding hands as they look down at Luke for a bit, then look up at eachother, and then at Obi. Luke is passed to them. There is a sad look of understanding on everyones face. Obi then slowly turns back to his ship.

Final Cut *Jedi theme in chorus*to Yoda on a small ship that just left a waystation from Corruscant to Dagoba. He is meditating, observing all of this through the Force. He sighs heavily and looks up, looks back toward the direction of Corruscant which is lightyears away, now looks ahead to Dagoba. The ship flies away from screen and enters hyperspace...Wipe in credits*Star Wars theme* of course.;)

Cant wait till George makes something ten times better!:D

All of you have some pretty good ideas of how the story will take place........really good. So good, that I really can't add much to it, so I won't try.

This third episode will have in store for us one of the most anticipated sceens (IMO) in SW history, if no the most anticipated. What triggers Anakin to turn to the darkside.......I can't wait to see how it unfolds! :D

The scene I'm looking forward to is where Obi Wan faces off with Anakin.

Anakin will probably be an emotional wreck, probably weeping heavily, maybe covered in blood and panting and Obi Wan is trying to turn him back from the brink and he goes into a long speach. "Blah blah blah, Don't do this! You can still be helped! There's still hope for you!" (or something like that). After he's done it's silent for a few seconds except for Anakin's crying. Then the camera goes to Anakin's face, which is hanging low and he squeezes his eyes shut tight and forces himself to stop crying while tears still stream down his cheeks. He then say's, "No..." *ignites his saber and points it upward then opens his eyes and looks up at Obi Wan* "...there's not".

It shows a quick shot of all the hope draining from Obi Wans face and his expression hardening from now knowing what he must do. He then turns on his lightsaber as well. The camera would then go to a wide shot of the both of them. Master and Apprentice, preparing to battle....

Then the battle begins and the deep sorrowful ESB reminiscent music kicks in for full emotional effect. :evil1:

Remember: the Anakin/Obi-Wan duel will be the most emotionally charged battle since TESB, so we will probabaly see every Force power in the book being used along with some awesome lightsaber skills. Flips, pushes, throws, pulls, healing (in case of a break like Episode I), persuasion, absorb and maybe even a demonsration of grip from Anakin, to prove that he really is going dark side. Also, the lightsaber skills themselves mut be elegant, smooth and fluid: "Don't be so choppy!" says Obi-Wan, so he must follow his own advice. However, fluid may be good, but the succession of hits and blows must be fast and powerful.

I've had another thought: to distinguish between the good guy and bad guy more easily, how about Anakin using Count Dooku's red lightsaber? He could kill the Count, take his lightsaber and duel with Obi-Wan, creating the familiar blue/red blade clash. Anakin could then lose the lightsaber somehow (to Obi-Wan perhaps) and then be struck at. Seeing as Anakin's blue lightsaber was sliced in half during Episode II, he does need another weapon, and I love Dooku's hilt configuration!

Boba Rhett

Well, we know he makes another blue one after this.

Count Dooku 2

Do we? Ah, yes! He gives Luke a hilt similar to the one created in Episode II. But still: the bad guy has to have a red-bladed lightsaber, and Anakin is as bad as they get (next to Supreme Chancellor Palpatine/Darth Sidious).
