View Full Version : I am so ashamed

Just when I was hoping the whole "Aussie-soap-star-releasing-singles" was over we now have

Bec Cartwright (aka Hayley Home and Away) with her single- all seats taken which sounds more like something that Nicky Webster (that irritating kid from the Sydney2000 Olympics opening/closing ceremony) would sing

Delta somebody (aka Nina from Neighbrours) with some stupid song that sounds more like Celine Dion

And supposedly nex year Tammin Surrock (aka Dani from Home and Away) is releasing a single :(

What's wrong with Australia? It's shameful and embarassing :(

of course I'll probably be told to get over it:rolleyes:

it sure is, theres been some research that pointed that southeastern australia is one of the best places to live, together with... i think it was finland...

i'd love to live in australia, maybe for a year or somethjing, before uni.

and natty, don't be ashamed, these people are not giving australia a bad name, they are giving austyralian soapas a bad name, and your not a part iof them, even if you watch them. dont worry, it's just a fad, 'holly valance and kylie became big from the soaps, lets us try as well' is what hey think, and if they think they can, thebn the best of luck to them, they're gonna need it..

Yeah, dont feel so bad, at least half of your country has to be embarrasing to shame the whole country... or you need half the people in the area to sign a petition for it to take effect, or both... O.o;;;

Don't forget people like Jason Donovan and Natalie Imbruglia oh and Danielle Spencer (Russell Crowe's gf) who all started out on Aussie soaps.

I must say I'm ashamed to admit that Bec Cartwright's song is growing on me *cries pathetically*

I'm sure I'll get over it though

Well if you start liking it there's no reason to be ashamed then, unless its one of those things that you hate but start to like, i know how you feel.

Well my city was voted the best city in the world- guess Australia can't be that bad then :p

Sydney Olympics, I never watched those. Why watch them when there was no live coverage, I never saw them or the Salt Lake Olympics, the Sydney ones just ruined it for me. I don't even know what medals the US won at either Olympics.

And Australia ain't bad at all from what I've heard. My great aunt is down there right now, she comes back next week, she left in like August or September or October or something. I want a digereedoo, or whatever ya call 'em.

I don't care about the Olympics. They're just so stupid.
