What is splinter cell? Tell me about it.

Its metal gear on steroids! You play as Sam Fisher who works for a super-shady organization inside the CIA called third echelon. You embark on a series of missions in which you use stealth to complete your objectives.

You have an arsenal of sweet gadgets like optic cables which you can slip under doors, diversion cameras which you can use to knock out enemies with noxious gas, and thermal vision to see anything that radiates heat.

Also, Sam has an arsenal of incredible moves, the most incredible of which would be the split jump. He jumps, hikes off the wall, then does a split between the two walls, suspending him above the ground, out of sight of any enemies.

Splinter Cell: Another one of Tom Clancy's books, upon which this game is based.

How many people out there have PC's but complain that they don't have the money to buy a console, but will willingly upgrade their PC for more than the price of a console?!!!

:wavey:

I've never had much interest for consoles except for SNES. :p For myself a sup'ed up pc is more important since I do more than just play games.

PC: Everything + Games.

Console: Games.

Aaaaah, but all of us out here use our PC's for more than games, obviously being online to post here, and for other more useful purposes.
The main reason why many people upgrade is to play games, not for faster performance in Word, Excel or Outlook......

Yeah, you're probably right...although personally, I do need a good performance PC because I do a bit of intensive graphics work...among other things.

Of course...every incarnation of Word and Excel...as well as the underlying OS...is demanding more and more memory to run effectively...

Anyway, Splinter Cell looks like a good game...but I don't have an X-Box (and don't want one), so I won't be playing it.

Personally I don't like exclusive anythings, it just doesn't make much sense to me. If the company that made the game licenced it for every console, as well as PC and MAC, wouldn't they make more money that way? They're losing out on a huge marketshare because they're only giving it to a very limited number of people.

But of course, Billy boy wants it only on the X-Box(like you can stand against him nowadays...), so that everyone will have to buy one in order to play these new great games. Personally, the only game I ever liked for X-BoX was Amped, but even that was almost exactly like every other snowboarding game. X-Box's only claim to fame is Halo, and man, I thought it sucked. Badly. But that's just me.

So I'm sticking to PC, SNES and of course Atari. They're the best.
:D

Well, one thing's for sure, I hate exclusive games. I myself own a Gamecube, but only a few exclusive games come out on it that are good.

PC's will provide more than gaming, but to expect console game developers to bring their games to the PC is asking too much, especially since they're not even willing to put it on another system.

And that sucks :D

Hah! This argument between PC and Console shouldnt even be going on. (I myself am in favor for PC)

The official Splinter Cell site http://www.splintercell.com/us/ (http://http://www.splintercell.com/us/) has the PC CD-Rom logo right next to the X-Box logo which indicates it will be on both systems

This game reminds me of another game I dearly love: Thief

They even have a stealth meter so you know if people can see you and the such. You can sneak around and do all kinds of crazy stuff unseen
