View Full Version : Smooth\graded lighting question

I have a number of pillars in my map which I'm trying to light such that the seperate brushes don't seem so obvious. In other words, I'd like the shading around the pillar to be smoother. I've seen this done in other maps and I recall a thread way back discussing vertex shading or something similar? Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Ok, found my answer by looking at ctf_wls4.map. My solution was to make a cylindrical pillar by selecting Curve->Cylinder in the jkradiant menu. After being compiled & lighted, it looks much more aestheticaly shaded than if I'd just used a 12 sided brush.
