View Full Version : Server clock

The clock on the server is not completely right ... there is a small time shift. Can this be corrected? For example ... I'm gonna hit 'submit' now at 11:58 exactly (local time)

-edit-

See ... it says 12:17 now. That's almost 20 minutes !!! I know my watch is correct, if it isn't then it won't be more than a few seconds ... but not 20 minutes.

This is sometimes anoying when I want to find out when the newest post is made ...

Just adding my $.02, but It is really annoying to have the clock twenty minutes off like it is. Can this please be fixed or at least addressed by an admin?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah the clock was about 21 minutes fast. I just went in and fixed it, so the times should be proper now.

Of course this means that for a little while there will be some time discrepency because posts made before the server clock was fixed will be made 20 minutes before posts made ... now. Anyway, by tomorrow I don't think it will be noticiable because most hot posts will have been paved over with new timestamps, and most old posts will be ... well, old.

Enjoy :)

You'd be wise to keep this kind of this discussions out of the feedback forum. You'd be accussed of flaming if you'd continue and that could result in a ban (If I were admin anyways). This is for both of you.

If there's a mod around, close this thread please. The problem is solved and the rest is off-topic.

Thanx for the clock adjustment tough :D

It really doesn't matter if it's off or not. It could be that you're clocks are off. I'm just glad it works.
