As far as I know, that is not true. If that would be the case then LF should notify you of that before you register. They should say something like 'If you don't log on for a year, your account will be deleted'

As far as I know ... this is not the case.

The 'Need a name chance?' post has the following line:

1.) Don't request the username of an active forum member.

I think that active here needs to be replaced with registred.

nope, everyone who has been inactive since may was deleted when the pruning was activated, or so he tells me.

I wonder why there are two ...

hmmm ...

By pruning, maybe you mean the posts. Old posts get deleted over time.

Really? Then why can I still go back as far as when I first joined the RogueSquadron.Net forums back in '99?

whatever. if it is possible, please notify me. if not, then....

don't worry, u're not the only one with the problem, there are A LOT of members in LucasForums and a lot of them stick around for two dayz then forget the site exists... just think, there are hundreds of other people who wanted that name but couldn't get it... :D http://www.boomspeed.com/aresen/mr_weasel.gif

You can? How? The off-topic forum at GB.com only has 3 pages with topics ... not enough to reach the beginning.

well, first of all, thats becuse it only shows pages from a few days bak. you can look at old posts in member search....and u can look at old threads if you change the option of what days it shows pages bak to, such as 100 days ago, or from the beginning.

arent admins allowed to just delete people who dont come here?

Ok, let me clear this up. Spy_jmr1 was mistaken about our policy. A couple months ago, some users were pruned who had never posted and hadn't visted the forum in over 3 months since registration. That was the last member pruning that will happen for quite some time.

Our policy about deleting inactive accounts so that a more active member can get their handle is a bit clouded, but it basically comes down to number of posts (usually 2 or fewer), in combination with being inactive for a year or more. Even then, there are circumstances where admins will say 'no'. This time, I can't change your name, PhantomHelix, because the situation gets much too complicated. There are two accounts (they were imported from separate forums when LucasForums first started) named Phantom, and they are the same person. In addition, both accounts are such that I'd feel uncomfortable deleting, since both have more than 2 posts. I'm sorry, but you'll have to stick with your current name, or pick a different one besides Phantom.
