Dark Forces is the original Star Wars FPS game. It was around in about 95-96, and was followed by Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight, which was followed by Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast. So they are trying to recreate Dark Forces using the Jedi Outcast game engine.....

Dark Forces was a PC game, it was the first one I ever bought, even before I had a PC!!!!

I know it is for PC's I have it. It just wont work cause I have XP and I need 95 or 98 to run it. I was asking if they were going to make the original Dark Forces with the game engine that they are using for Jedi Outcast and release that out again. Do you understand what I am saying? Sorry for the confusion. :D

I never had Dark Forces for the PC, I had the PSX game and I loved it! I look forward to this! :)

Dark Forces TC is a mod being developed for Jedi Outcast based on the original Dark Forces game, which is the predecessor to jedi knight and jedi outcast. without that, they would not have been created...
anywho, the TC is planning on releasing a demo of their mod within a few weeks. keep your eyes peeled at jediknightii.net for info on it.

i never played Dark Forces, only the demo, but i hope the TC is good, i'm looking forward to play the demo
Can I ask a question! If you install one TC, will it be overitten if you install another TC? I'm looking forward to the AOTC TC aswell and I'm wondering if I will be able to have both at the same time.

i think it will be like a MOD, you load the TC (in the MOD-menu) and you go and play it.

well, if you put the mod in correctly, no it will not delete any other mods you may happen to have in your folder......

They said they release the demo 27nov (wich happens to be in a week :D )

oh course its a mod! the title of the thread is what is dark forces TC, and TC is total conversion :D
but anywho, the demo looks awesome. cant wait....

What I meant is, I didn't think you would load it like a mod because it is a 'total conversion'! Get me now?

anywho, no, total conversions dont load any differently, they just change most or all aspects of a game....they still load the same way! thanks for clarifying.
