... the Top 10 Albums of the Year! Yes! I know you've all been waiting for this!
My list follows.
1) Heavy Blinkers - Better Weather
2) Beachwood Sparks - Make The Cowboy Robots Cry (EP)
3) The Shins - Oh, Inverted World
4) Kingsbury Manx - Let You Down
5) Neil Halstead - Sleeping on Roads
6) The Get Up Kids - On A Wire
7) The Sunshine Fix - Age of the Sun
8) White Stripes - White Blood Cells
9) Beulah - The Coast Is Never Clear
10) Tom Petty & The Heartberakers - The Last DJ
Ok, so technically some of them were released in 2001, but they didn't receive a wide release before 2002. ¬

What about Top 10 Films of The Year? That's much harder, as I don't think I've even seen 10 new movies this year, let alone good ones. #1 would be Punch-Drunk Love for me... and hopefully Adaption makes the list when I get to see it.

Well that would be a different thread, wouldn't it. ¬ ¬
But yes, Punch Drunk Love would probably be high up there for me too, and hopefully also Adaptation.

This year was a big year for padding out my collection with some slightly older music. I think bought around 15-20 CDs this year (way more than usual), but only two of these were actually released in 2002. Nevertheless, they are rox.
- The White Stripes: White Blood Cells
- Queens of the Stone Age: Songs for the Deaf

My university did something like this. They had that new Christina Aguilera album, Stripper or whatever at number 10.
Popular music sucks.

Puddle of Mudd - Come Clean
The Hives - Your New Favourite Band
Stone the Crow - Reduce to the Max
Red Hot Chili Peppers - By the Way
Silverchair - Diorama

I have a terrible memory and so can't remember what came out this year and what didn't but I can definatly give you a few...
This is where I stand - Easyworld (THE best album out this year. Truly fantastic and my band are supporting them in January :P)
Rocking the Suburbs - Ben Folds (if that came out this year)
Your New Favourite Band - The Hives (I thought that came out last year but JR makes me doubt it)
Singles - The Bluetones (This would come higher if I didn't already have most of the tracks)

Great, now I'm not sure anymore either. :(
But I think it was released this year....at least in Germany.

Listen to Sopa. He is a star. Anyone who doesn't agree with him can suck it. ****s.
In addition, the White Stripes win. I enjoy that song where they play random chords and say stuff :D
I JEST! I really do like them. However, Bersuit Vergarabat is far superior.
Edit: Alright, that's not fair. I typed the naughty version of kuntz >:
