I noticed in the trailer for the game that there is a jedi standing in a large plain and there is some kind of beast running at him. His lightsaber is out and at the ready and as the beast gets closer to him he starts attacking him. This presents a question to me. In the game, in this same situation, would one be able to use a mind trick on the weak minded creature to send him scurrying off somewhere else. I only bring this up because from what I have read about the game, it sounds like you will be able to, depending on your actions, become a light or a dark side character. Now, from what I know about jedi and their codes of ethics and stuff, wouldn't flat out killing an innocent creature* bring you closer to the dark side? Thanks.

* I say innocent because it's the creatures nature to be violent and attack things. Now of course I could be blowing this WAY out of proportion. Perhaps the beat was angered somehow by the jedi. Maybe the jedi did it purposfully. I don't know. Makes you wonder though how speciffic the game is going to get and how closely it will follow the jedi beleifs. I'll still buy it though. :)

Welcome to Starwarsknights.com! :D Enjoy!

Now to answer your questions.....if the beast was attacking you could use a mind trick on it...provided that your character is skilled enough of course. Since the animal is attacking you, chances are that you would not go closer to the darkside. The key is that you are defending yourself. Now if you were to run around attacking everything that moved without provocation, then I'd say you would get closer to the darkside. :)

It should follow jedi beliefs very closely and I think that it will be easier to stay on the lightside then a lot of people think it will.
