And so I'm depressed :(

Bee Gee dies

12jan03

BEE Gee Maurice Gibb died in hospital this morning, his family said.

The 53-year-old had been in a critical condition in hospital after suffering a heart attack during an operation to remove an intestinal blockage after he collapsed at his Florida home last week.
His wife Yvonne and his two children had been with him at the Mount Sinai Medical Centre in Miami since the surgery on Thursday night.

A statement released by his family said: "It is with great sadness and sorrow that we regretfully announce the passing of Maurice Gibb this morning.

"His love and enthusiasm and energy for life remain an inspiration to all of us. We will all deeply miss him."

They came up with a sound that we weren't used to, that was completely new to us, that was as unique as the day is young. And it was pure genius. Long live the spirit of Maurice Gibb. Long live the spirit of the Bee Gees. They will never die. They will be with us, always.

I am so gonna watch Saturday Night Fever today *drools* Just for the first scene. One of my fave scenes in a movie. John Travolta strollin down the street with a paintcan in his hand while Stayin Alive plays :D

OK...ahem yes, kinda a contridiction to what I just said about music...but it's the Bee Gees...Australian (ok I know they were born in the UK and live in America but they've said it a number of times they consider themselves Australian so :p)... 70's...funny clothes...John Travolta...dancing...disco moozik!!!!!

Shame it couldn't have been a bad artist that died this time. I can certainly say my life's gotten better since the guy from Drowning Pool died.

Don't forget Saturday Night Fever and More Than A Woman (which always sounds like Bald Headed Woman to me). I think they did More than a Woman.
