View Full Version : The Dig music

Is it really impossible to extract the music from the game "The Dig"?
I've searched on the web for weeks now and havn't found a single software who can extract these soundfiles. When I use the Scumm software, it just tells me that there's some invalid hex code and I can't extract it to .wav therefor.
Anyone have a single clue?

Please note the GPL license, if you create something using this code it must also be GPL'ed. This code is missing three codecs, so it can only decode 74 of the 84 songs. If anyone has any details on the missing codecs (4,5 and 6) let me know.
Note to run the above util, you need around 650MB of free space.

I don't think that file is even still there anymore :)
In any case, a newer version with ALL of the codecs (based off the same ScummVM code) can be found 'ere: http://www.geocities.com/c3p1models/dig/digmusic_new.zip
There's a link to my site (same file as you just posted) in the thread bgbennyboy linked to. Hmm maybe I should go back and check the crashing problem on XP...
I think I'll contribute some ScummVM bug fixes or whatever sometime soon... I just need to get back on track with college.
