View Full Version : snow... lot's of snow

well here I am in the middle of a huge snow storm. there's about two and a half feet right now and the snow isn't supposed to end until later this afternoon. I can't drive anywhere (because I can't find the road) so I'm going to be stuck inside for another day... with my entire family:eek: :( :D . I sure there are some of you that are getting hit with the same storm. this is a big one but there's nothing you can do with all of the snow. it doesn't pack and there's too much to sled. it's just a whole lot of powdery white stuff:(

you lucky bastige. i live in Georgia so, unfortunately, snow is negligible here. i used to live in Pennsylvania, so i miss the snow :( :(

That sucks. I hate the snow. I get a back ache from shoveling my giant driveway, deck, and porch. That's when it gets to be more than a foot, though. My puny snowblower gets stuck in that.

*Runs out to Wal-Mart for a giant one reduced from 500 to 300 dollars*

Well, if I had money I might... :D

lucky you. its just cold here and the last time it snowed it turned to ice meaning that my 25min walk the station took 35min due to sliding every where but even that didn't really stick. lots of frost though, more sliding.

You are lucky. I went to college where it snows quite a bit and we always had a fun time with it. We never got the amounts that you are talking about, but it was still fun. :)

Where I live in Washington, we haven't got snow here in about five years. All it does it rain....just like it is now. =/

I like my room at a toasty 55 degrees fahrenheit. of course my family likes to keep the rest of the house warmer, but if the temperature goes over 70 I'm burning up:jawa

My body temperature is 2 degrees below norm... If I run a fever, I wanna die. I have a problem with heat...

I like Chicago-land. Cold, not lots of snow though...

Yeah son, we're getting snow here in Oregon for the first time since early December. Wierd.

02-18-2003, 09:15 AM
philly got about 20+ inches of snow. it was very surreal seeing everybody walking in the streets ... only because the plows pushed all the snow on the sidewalks.

it made me think of some post-apocolyptic nuclear winter ...

20+ inches of snow in NJ as well.
I'm currently at home on a .. SNOW DAY! WOOT!

please snow then the trains will stop,(only takes about an inch, hehe)and then I'll have a reason not to get to hospital (where I'm studing at mo) and I could relax and spend more time online(maybe not such a good idea afterall):)

I hate snow.

we had about 2 feet of snow here in New York and shoveling my driveway was a b!tch.

I got a cold from it, my nose is full of snots right now. :D

02-18-2003, 10:54 PM
Well, lessee, it's about -20C which makes it the warmest it's been in like the past month. Up from an average of like -40, and we have aboue a foot of snow on the ground, but are we getting any? NO! And it sucks, if it's gonna be cold, we need the snow to come with it.
