Lucas Arts have given us Pirates, Voodoo, Mexican Culture, Film Noir, Time Travel, Mythical Cities, Madcap detectives, Space Exploration, Stubble-face bikers and even strange weird tribal people with sticks.

What next?

Personally, I want to see some vampires. A trip to Egypt would be fun too. With mummified corpses that somehow come to life. There's also a lot of exploration to be done underseas too.

Discuss.

I wanna see more future. An action, adventure, comadey, si-fi, drama, cartoon would be nice.

Gay porn?

Failing that, a western could have potential.

Heh if you look at those themes from the point of view of traditional platform game levels, theyve got most of em covered.
So yes, egyptian, water and ice levels are all thats missing, games themed around them in some way.

Well Indiana Jones and The Infernal Machine had levels based on ice, water and Egypt. Furthermore that RTX gameís gonna be pretty futuristic.

Outlaws. Yes there should be an Outlaws 2.

Then there's the Age of Knights that's maybe interesting for LEC to explore

Bleh. There are billions of possibilites, Vikings, Romans, Witchcraft, Australians, Robots, Biblical people. All have yet to feature in there very own LucasArts adventure game. As long as they don't feature any of those filthy neutrals. I mean, with enemies, you know where you stand, but with neutrals - who knows?

Have any of you even played Zak McKracken??

A theme that the LEC do desperately need to cover is magic! Loom was great, they came up with a whole magical theory and everything, and they could so easily do it again.

How about a Willow action/adventure game? Or how About a THX 2000 one?

I think a horror adventure would be cool, with zombies and evil demons and stuff. :)

And I guess we could work in the gay porn element somewhere.....maybe.

That sounds like Zombies Ate My Neighbours.

I personally found Egypt very boring for an aventure game, all that sand and pyramids.

I would like a sureal adventure game... something like

http://www.rp-online.de/news/multimedia/games/test/grimfand/grimfand2.jpg
http://www.geocities.com/tquinta/guydali.txt

A game really weird... that doesnt make a lot of sense at first sight. Maybe Psychonauts is what I should get.

Wow! Now that is a truly inspired idea! Imagine it... nothing is what it seems... question everything... the game would be so visual and amzing. I wanna see a game straight out of Dali or Bosch or something!!

Actually, I would like to see a game that took place in GF's land of the living. I was actually very creeped out when I went there in GF.

Yeah, western... that'll be great. But not a 3D-shooter like "Outlaws", or an action-"adventure" like "Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine". I WANT AN ADVENTURE... the only one I can think of right now is "Freddy Pharkas".

Anything but Sci Fi.... there's enough sci fi coming from LEC what with the mountain of SW games.

Asian theme perhaps?

Why the hell beard... eh, not?

I always thought a marriage between the two great assets of LucasArts would be great. Star Wars and (point & click preferably) adventure. This way both the LEC suits and the LEC fan community could have a game they want. It could also introduce the Star Wars fans who have been served with "low-brow" action games mainly to the genre of adventures.

GregD

SW + point n click hehe an interesting idea. Though the sci fi genre is really boring i find... theres only so much SW, xfiles and star trek you can take before it all looks and sounds the same.

Alien426

Well, that may be so, but the visuals are stunning and the stories may surpass the usual Star Trek episode. I for one love The Dig and think it was able to stand on its own. That is, at the time of its release. Nowadays you've got loads of Armageddons and the like, so the story isn't so unique anymore.

Get some very talented writers (Joss Whedon and his crew), some good puzzle designers and some artists and you can easily make a SW adventure that's better than Monkey Island 2. I put this remark in to get some bashing and maybe a little heat into the discussion.

Laserschwert

Right, a Star Wars point-n-click would be IT... that's why I am looking forward to "Knights of the Old Republic" big time... it's not a pure adventure, but it's the closest to a Star Wars adventure game coming up at the horizon.

This has been talked about so many times before. People at LucasArts have wanted to make this game, but it has never happened. Maybe it never will.

Some kind of game sponsored by Fanta would be good. The main character has to retrieve that Fanta cans full of Fanta from the Fanta king, or else they will not be fully refreshed by the delicious taste of Fanta.

ManÖ Iíve been drinking too much Fanta recently. From now on Iím sticking with water.

That gives me the idea of the water game... you'd have to swim a lot in this game... or at least wade your way through the (mostly watered) levels. Collecting 100 plastic bottles of water gives you the bonus bottle. With it you can either buy 50 more plastic water bottles or play the game of water. Spinning the weel of liquid you could win bottles of water reaching from 1 to 10 litres. If you reach the amount of 33 litres you are given the choice between gate 1, 2, 3 or the box of plastic bottles, from which you would have to pick one bottle. From those 10 bottles one contains water, and if you get that one, you will win a trip to the water park... ah, does anybody know when it is released? Darn it, I'm getting thirsty now......

As for me, I've never especially cared for RTS games (though I did get addicted to Age of Mythology and all of the Warcrafts until I beat them) and I don't find that I have time to get properly involved in an RPG to enjoy it. My gaming is a delicate balance of midlessly blowing things up in Quake and UT2003 (hell, even Jedi Outcast with the proper force powers...) and beating my brains out with adventure games. At the moment, I'm awaiting Syberia 2, The Longest Journey 2, Sam & Max 2, and Half-Life 2 all with equal anticipation. (wow, lotsa sequels coming up...)

Adventures have always been my favorite mostly because the first time I played anything other than solitare on a computer was the really old, confusing as hell (at least to a 5 year old) adventure game: "HUGO'S HOUSE OF HORRORS" It's mostly out of a nostalgic value and lack of anything better to do that I keep on playing all of these things.

How about a musical? A video game adaption of West Side Story, perhaps?

Grease would be good - you have to get in Grease Lightning and run over all the cast before they finish singing one of the songs. If you kill them before Summer Nights has finished you get a bonus level where you can put Frenchy on a guillotine.

Australians, wtf? is there some universal joke about us that everyone knows but us?

anyways i have the firm believe that the addition of cowboys or pirates will make anything good, i was thinkin a Western would be cool, if anyone had played DUST: A tale of the wired west, by cyberflix youll know cowboys have potential.

also a Mafia title , set in the 1930's would be cool.
or a Cruise ship captain or passenger??
anyone played TITANIC by cyberflix??

what about Bums?
bums have great potential, a game about the raise of a bum to the top would be great. You could start off as a bum on the street and find your way to being a wealthy business man, or something?

I could tell you, but I'd have to kill you instantly afterwards.
