i have 3 questions how do i add music to my map and how do i make stairs that have spaces between them (not soild plank like)
and how do i add custom textures and then make it so every 1 that d/ls my map gets it

For music, use the key 'music' in worldspawn.
For the stairs, I'm not sure how you mean, but try to make a brush (space) brush.
For the textures, there is a folder for them in pakscape.

no ment how do i make custom textures and how would i take the textures from the map makening tool to the pak scape and i still dont understaind how you make music in your map

Deselect everything, press N, scroll down to Worldspawn, click on it and enter the key music and a value which is the path to the music file you want to play like "music/yavin_final/yavfinal_explore".

Make your texture in a program like paint shop pro or photoshop. the dimensions have to be powers of 2 i.e 256x256, 512x512, 128x256 etc. Save the texture as a jpg. In your JK2/Gamedata directory, create a folder with the same name as your map. in that folder create another folder called textures. in that folder create another one called customtextures. Put your texture in there, thus:
Put all the files for your map in the "mymap" directory....maps in "mymap\maps" scripts in "mymap\scripts" etc....then, when you're ready to publish it, put all these folders into a PK3 using winzip....select them all, right click, add to zip, call the zip "mymap.pk3", set compression to normal, and voila. Ready to go.

thanks those last 2 post where very help full now i need to no how to make a lift/elvator for my map and i need all this for my newest map Davion Drop ship from mech warrior4

For doors use the speed key with a value of your taste. For elevator search the forums. There are so many threads...
