Anyone remember an old game “Dead by the sword”?
I was wondering if it is possible to mod light saber so you can attack by swing your mouse not by click prime attack. In addition, player should be able to push their light saber together for more realistic saber lock, and attacking and blocking should be possible like they do in the movie.
:lsduel:

What I mean is making a mod that would allowing more clash of light sabers. By allowing player to move light saber to where he/she wants.

It would be a great mod but, I know it wouldn't work in single player because the SP scource code isn't out yet but, I don't know if it's possible in MP, I kind of doubt it is though.

They Already have this type of add-on in many mods such as force mod, jediplus and omni-mod..

Mobius you got it wrong, he was referring to a type of gameplay whereby you could move your mouse in order to swing the saber. In Die By the Sword, in order to strike, you have to move your mouse. Your mouse is your hand/arm/blade. It sounds hard to convert it to jk2 though

its possible but would take FOREVER to code as you would have to assign each swing animation to a certain 'codename' and then that codenam to a certain direction of the mouse, and it would seriously interfere with Aiming this game is a FPS and in FPS you use your mouse to aim :P if ya wanna stand in one spot and swing ur saber tho and dont mind coding about 500 diff animations and rerouting all of this into <unknown> mouse locations give it a shot ;)

This would be practical only if you had a gamepad with two analog sticks....ie. an X-box controller....mouse isn't as...i dunno, natural...for me, at least.
