Infantryman. Plain and simple. I am not good with computers, and I am unsure what else I could do. I don't speak any other language, besides the few stuff I learned in Spanish last year and what I have learned this year...

I seriously doubt any of you would have the balls to be a sniper. To kill someone in cold-blood. To blow someone's head off from afar. I wouldn't. No way.

I'd probably be a helo pilot.

I'll be in an office somewhere designing equipment. Hopefully very far away from flying metal objects.

I'd probably be a helo pilot. arent you just a giver of confidence:rolleyes: i used to be in a military camp. we practiced sniping. they had us practice on rabbits. afterwards we would eat the rabbit. it was fun. but if you see the stare in that rabbits eye when it knows its gonna die it makes you kinda sad. but i have no problem shooting people (woah that just sounded wrong) me and my friend used to get our bb guns and snipe eachother in the legs. and the chest (we wore googles and cups).we had to go to the hospital alot.

Kill someone in cold blood. Well, you're gonna wind up killing someone somewhere with almost any of the jobs listed so far 'cept research technician and such but even then, who knows what you might discover that could kill hundreds of people.

You could very well wind up killing someone in a chopper as well.

I was going to join the Navy, actually. Even went through two weeks of boot camp, until they found out I had mild asthma. Normally, it wouldnt have been a problem, but it became an "erroneous enlistment" and I was discharged. I could have re-enlisted, but I really didnt want to after that...

Anyway, I was slated to train as an "Aviation Electronics Technician." Basically, I would be the guy on the carriers who deals with all the electronic shtuff on the planes. I'd leave the computers to the Avionics guys, but most else is mine.

They kept trying to get me to join the Nuke program, offering me a spot on a submarine (my entrance exams in the science and electronics portion were perfect), but submarines freak me out...

Anyway, I'd probably want to be the guy who gets to cart around the missiles on the flight deck. Because then I could drive that little car around with missiles on the back, and everyone would get out of my way. Hells yeah. ;)

Yeah, I'm guessing most of them are after the cool image, imagining it would sort of be like playing one in Counterstrike or UT.

It's not, guys.

i wouldn't have the patience to be a sniper. i haven't got the stamina for Infantry.
i think i would be intelligence, like a spy... yeah a spy, that would be cool.

I'll be a good sniper. I'll just say this over again

Fear is the mind killer
I will face my fear
I will let it pass through me
Then only I will remain
*repeat*
It works :D

Riiiight. What are you all? Fourteen, fifteen, with the exceptions of a few people? And that's just your physical age. You probably have a mental age of less than that. When you're in an actual combat situation, with live ammunition, a real heavy sniper rifle in your hands pointing it at someone who has no idea that you are aiming at him, it is NOT the same as sitting nice and safe at your computer and running around in Counter-Strike or whatever silly war games you play. Like Shock said, you all want to be one because it's "cool" and you think you have the killer mentality to do it. That's total bull****. Don't try to put yourself above what you're actually capable of. Shooting a bunch of pixels or a rabbit is not the same as killing another human being.

And I wouldn't fly a combat helo. I'd probably fly a Chinook or a Sea Stallion.

Medic. Plain and simple. My morals are not to take someone's life, wich means I probably wouldn't join the army anyways.

heeeey that sounds like fun :p

If I were to join the army, I'd do something that involved computers or something.

but I'd rather join the Air Force. I've always wanted to pilot. I am facinated by Air Planes.

andI agree with Niner on the Sniper. I doubt any of you could do it, I know I couldn't, but if I had to do it... i probably could, but I would be mentally scarred and still suck at it.

I have been seriously thinking about joining the armed forces after I graduate HS. My family isn’t that rich, so by joining I could help pay for college, and serve my country.

If I was in the armed forces I would want to be a Marine. They are probably the best soldiers the USA has got……plus I’’ve seen Aliens waaaaaaaaay too much :D

woooohaaaa easy Sir.... the war is over Sir.........

im not sure about you guys but i for 1 would never have thought ANYTHING in a game would come very close to the real thing ........

many soldiers dont even kill anyone in the war not becuase they dont see war but becuase its againts they're nature, the ones that kill people without hesitating is in fact only the reeaaaal psykos , and records show that many soldiers are so afriad that they pee there pants in combat < im actuly personaly proud of them for peeing there pants and not just killing everything around them

i would never support a war but if i had to be anything then probably a dilivery boy that like gets the generals sandwithces and stuff.... i would know that i wasent harming anyone :) well the generals would probably get a high kolestoral count but screw that ....:D

Maybe lieutenant or sergeant in the army. No way you'll ever get me on a ship for two months, and as I have bad eyesight I'm not going to be a fighter pilot anytime soon.

But hey, when I get drafted next year, I'm sure I'll find out how it feels like. I might even like it.

Another glorious day in the corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the corps!

ARMY, HOOAH! AIRBORNE! And as far as the sniper thing goes: It does take patience and a strong disposition, but you'd be surprised at the number of those who can do it. That's why there is a school for it - it trains you to see the enemy as nothing but an inanimate object, a thorn in the side of humanity, or something to that extent. Think about vigilante who honestly thinks he is doing a good thing by taking out the bad element. ;)

No need to insult everyone in this forum...especially being a moderator. I have military experience, and I still wish to be a sniper. I KNOW snipers, I've DEALT with snipers, I've STUDIED snipers, I've handle sniper rifles before. I know the risks, and I'm not afraid to die.

I don't think it's "cool" being a sniper. IT's a rough job...sometimes lying in one position for hours on end, if not days, crapping your pants...hot, sweaty, awhile moving a couple of inches per hour. It's a tough job..and definetly too "glorified" by TV.
