Hum, for my latest map I am trying desparately to get my tunnels VERY dimly lit so you can just see the textures--but I do NOT want to illuminate the player model. How can I acheive illumination of that particular part of my map without casting light on the player.

I think there's a way to make a shader self-lit...Otherwise, the only thing that comes to mind is a very low level of ambient lighting (which, though it will be in the whole level, will be insignificant everywhere else).

Arg, Ive tried that as well...but it conflicts with my surface lighting and crashes the compiler...that is so weird...

I guess I'm going to make all those textures in the area shaders...
