arn't moving! AHHH who killed them?!? *points at 8 of 12* it was you wasn't it?

We need some conspiracy and scandal to liven the board up. Who fixed the spelling of your name, Davros? Was it an admin or something MORE SINISTER? Or was it someone ELSE who insulted the authority of the Daleks by spelling their name wrong?

I'm impressed by the number of BBC special effects avatars in this forum, by the way. Keep it up.

04-19-2003, 12:47 PM
I didn't want to feel left out, so, I changed mine.

04-19-2003, 01:06 PM
you know i actually couldnt tell you who fixed it i came back one day and it was different. go figure. but the daleks no longer are after me for it so im happy. hmmm scandal you say I may just have to look into that one....*dramatic music*

I think we have Gabez outnumbered, Davros.

First the Nightlight forums... then, THE WORLD!!

04-20-2003, 11:53 AM
You three clearly have issues so ill just go *backs cautiously out of thread*

04-20-2003, 03:41 PM
You need a Doctor Who avatar now, LiMP RABBiT. Won't you join us?

04-21-2003, 11:11 PM
I would like to take this opportunity to point out that I've always had a Doctor Who avatar. So there. Nyahh!

04-25-2003, 01:31 AM
actually since this is my first avatar that means ive had mine since the beginning (sp?) so davros over rules all of you! EXTERMINATE!! oops maybe caffine is a bad thing right now..... oh well maybe we should start a conflict about Dr. Who that way we can spark life into the forums that so desperately need it

04-25-2003, 01:35 AM
oops forgot DEATH TO GABEZ! (unless he joins the neutral side with us that is)

04-25-2003, 04:04 PM
I'm ALWAYS keeping my avatar because:

a.) It fits my name

b.) I lost the .gif image when i restarted my Computer so if I change it I won't be able to change back.

04-25-2003, 08:50 PM
Er... you know you can just right click and select save as.

04-26-2003, 01:56 AM
Hmm... it occurs to me that we should take this discussion to a mixnmojo forum and attempt to make people convert to these superior avatars. :)

04-26-2003, 10:29 AM
I could do that but then it wouldn't be animated.

04-26-2003, 09:01 PM
Yes it would, Sanspoof. :)

And 8, a similar thought occurred to me. We need to get a Brigadier avatar installed somewhere, at least. Let's go to it!

04-28-2003, 04:08 PM

And, erm, I don't understand why you started this thread as it doesn't seem to have any mentioning about anything.

04-30-2003, 09:37 PM
Sanspoof, yes, it will. Trust me, I tried it. Give it a go yourself.

Then change your avatar to something Doctor Who related already. :D

Darth Eggplant

I think Darlek sounds better than Dalek
*jelly baby anyone?*;)

05-26-2003, 10:58 PM
I have temporarily decided to join the good side. This will probably not last too long.

Eggplant, get yourself a better (read: more Doctor Who oriented) avatar! You can even have this fine Brigadier one for free once I get tired of it! (Estimate: three days.)

05-27-2003, 10:16 AM
I wish to join in the ranks of Dr Who supporters, but where do I get a dudey Dr Who avatar from. Anyone?

05-27-2003, 10:56 AM

There's a chance I can use one of my Doctor Who dvds to screencapture one for you, that's how I made the Dalek avatars. Who did you want an avatar of?

05-27-2003, 11:03 AM
I know this isn't exactly the right thread to ask these questions on, but it seems to be one that 8 of 12 is visiting, so I think he'd know the answers.

What exactly was Moldy Bun Bologna saying in the background during episode 5 when Lube discovered that the droids were supposed to destroy the Dud Star? I picked something up about making toast and raisin bran, but that's it.

What song, exactly, was the "Make Out" music during episode 9?

In episode 8, Number Two mentions something about Darth Vapor's "Last date, where [he] used the mind trick on that girl," and that the guys in the security room got their hands on a recording of it. After Number Two says "Mate, uh, he's watching...", the security guy starts saying something that I can't make out. What was it he said?

And last, but not least, Number Two calls Darth Vapor these different names: Darth Striker, Darth Flubbalah, and my favorite, Pan Scriber (as in "I'm sorry, pan scriber, but there really is no rebel base.") And then, he pronounces "Looks like as ready as I'll ever be" and "Wiks Ripe al Ready as I'll ewer be." Is this intentional? And what the heck is a Pan Scriber?

05-27-2003, 11:18 AM
lol! Hello Incredible D! Let me get my pocket translator out and see if I can answer the questions.

Okay. Mouldy Bun Baloney's line in part 5. Now I did the voice of Mouldy Bun Baloney, and I can't even remember what I said. Part of it was scripted, the rest of it was just rambling.

It seems to be mostly with making breakfast. Then going to the shops for something... he encounters a cat on the way out of the shops and the cat begins to talk to him.

Unscripted. Trust me.

The make out music in episode 9 is 'Let's Get it on' by Marvin Gaye

The security gaurds were caught watching Darth Vapour porn on the security monitors. They were praying for their lives.
From memory, Lawrence was praying in English. :)

Number Two always calls Vapour names, yes, and the thing about that is that none of it is scripted, it's all Stanley. So if I take out my Stanley translator for you...

Pan Scriber is Number Two calling Darth Vapour 'paint scraper'

As for the other line... well I don't know exactly in Lost Cause where it is... but the line is probably intentional. Just chalk it up to either Number Two, or you aren't hearing it right. :)

I got mine by typing random character names into Google Image Search, then cutting them down in Paint Shop Pro. If your character is called something generic like 'The Master', you might have to resort to the actor's name instead. :)

05-27-2003, 04:37 PM
Well, 8 of 12, now that I've got your attention... my microphone isn't working. I've tried everything that makes sense, and I'm thinking I might have to go out and buy a new one. I don't know whether BMI was still going on anyway, but I thought you might want to know.
Plus... I'm wondering exactly who did what voices. As far as I can tell, Stanley does Number Two, Davros, The Stormbloopers and the Security Guys. And I know Stuart does Darth Vapor, that you do Moldy-Bun Baloney, and that the same guy does both Lube and Narrator. But who does Ham Slo-Mo and who does The Wookie? And is Ham Slo-Mo supposed to be... how do I put this nicely... as *effeminate* as he comes off in Lost Cause, or am I hearing things?
So, Stanley called him Paint Scraper. PAINT SCRAPER???? I'm sure I'm not the only one confused. He must be an... interesting... guy. Is his Number Two voice his natural voice? And what the hell does he do for a living?

05-27-2003, 09:20 PM
Microphone not working. Gahhh.

Beneath Monkey Island is still going, yes. It was partially derailed thanks to assignments and home problems (I'm currently in the process of moving house) but part 1 will be online tonight. It's completed with the exception of one sound effect, which I pick up from the radio station today.

Wondering exactly who did what voices in Lost Cause...

Well I hate to type it, but Stuart Moncrieff was not involved in Lost Cause. He'd moved to Queensland for a while when it was recorded.

Stanley Brain did the voices of Number Two, various stormtroopers, Davros, and Ham Slowmo. And yes, Ham was intentionally very feminine. It was just for something different. :) When not providing voices he can be found working in the marketing department of the radio station where Nightlight Productions are recorded. And his normal voice sounds nothing like Number Two. Actually, if you downloaded The Howard Christmas Carol last year, he also did the voice of Peter Costello, and THAT is his normal voice.

Lawrence Aitcheson, the only professional actor out of the lot of us, did the voice of Lube Skystalker, the Narrator, and various stormtroopers.

While I did the voices of See-Creepio, Mouldy-Bun Baloney, Pooey the Wookiee, and Darth Vapour.

05-27-2003, 11:40 PM
I was almost sure that Stuart was Vapor, because his voice sounded a lot like Le Parka. Either way, I couldn't tell that there were so many multi-roles. You guys obviously have a lot of talent.

05-28-2003, 10:05 PM
It was pointed out to me that between Tomas (Tierra) and Vapour (Lost Cause) I have the voices of Sully and Mike from Monsters Inc nailed down pretty well. :D

05-29-2003, 06:36 PM
you mean Billy Crystal and John Goodman? You really ARE the king of wishful thinking! Just kidding. They're similar, actually.
