The ‘New New Avatar & Sig Pic’ competition

Its time for another avatar & sig competition

*fanfare*

To make it a bit different and alittle more interesting this time round we’re going to have 4 categories for you to enter.

They are:

Most original - if your Av & sig is a bit different than your average swampie av & sig (i.e not matrix, star wars etc.) then this is the category for you. Show off your originality.

Best Design – proud of the professional job you’ve done? think your av & sig is a work of art that should have its own souvenir shop? Well then enter this section to compete with the other Photoshop masters.

Funniest – Think you’re funny do ya? Got an av & sig that can split sides and cause fluids to flow? Then show off your sense of humor in this section

Best animated – have you got a gif-tastic animated av & sig? Then this is the section for you. (both av & sig must be animated)

Once you have chosen the category post your intention to enter and clearly state which category, you can only enter one.
then you have one week to donate the entry fee.

The entry fee is 25 points which you will have to donate to the organisers of your chosen category, they are as followed

Most original – Sivy B (hey! That’s me)
Best Design – Darklighter
Funniest – Zbomber
Best animated – Padanime

small print
(we reserve the right to move you to a different category we feel it’s appropriate)

after one week (May 24th ) 4 threads for each of the categories will be made and voting will commence for another week and close May 31st

prizes are as follows

1st place: 200 points
2nd place: 100 points
3rd place: 50 points.

Now the people that come 1st & 2nd in the 4 categories will then be entered into an overall 'ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN' where the winner will scoop another prize (amount TBA)

well first you need an image hoster

i use www.lycos.co.uk which is free and allows up to 50 mb

once you have an image hoster you can upload your pics then if you want to post them you use the 'IMG' button and then type in the address

i.e

(i used a * instead of the G so it wouldn't do it)

For the design contest, does it matter if the stuff/images used are created by yourself or just taken from other web sites?

If not then I will definantly not win because those pictures are mine. But they are not the quality that everybody else has in the same category.

Just curious on how the best design will be judged.

well it wouldn't matter

but we've scrapped the catagories due to lack of interest.
now we're just having one big one that should start soon.

Well as stated, the category idea has been scrapped. Originally we thought that there would be a lot more participants. Now though, not as many people have entered, so it's just gonna be one big competition, where everyone votes for each other.

I don't think you need to worry though, Jackal. I thought that sig you made was great, and from hearing passed things about your line of work, I kinda guessed those pics were yours;)

Well, people will vote for the sig which they think is best to them. Everyone has their own opinions and likes/dislikes, and will vote based on personal opinion. You don't know how well you'll do if ya don't enter;)

Well, I made mines with PS without really copying any images, just alot of dif effects, i suggest you do that if you are stuck for an idea. Just a suggestion :).
