Katherine Hepburn
I got online a few minutes ago and what do I see? A headline that Katherine Hepburn is dead. I'm really kind of bummed.

I only heard about a couple of hours ago myself. Man, the last few years... Sinatra, Jack Lemmon, Bob Hope - old-school icons disappearing left and right. In the back of your mind you know they're human beings as frail as any other, but when they do eventually go it's like a sudden sharp slap in the face.

Sanspoof 06-30-2003 05:13 PM

Really makes you think, eh? Life is short.

MeddlingMonk 06-30-2003 06:10 PM

Mickey Rooney, however, is immortal.

GendoTheGreat 07-01-2003 10:59 AM

And short. Very short.

Branik 07-01-2003 05:11 PM

What, Jack Lemmon is dead? When did this happen? A shame actually, I really liked his movies.

GendoTheGreat 07-02-2003 02:16 PM

Ages ago, man. July 27 of 2001, to be precise. Long-time friend Walter Matthau went not long before him, somtime around mid 2000 I think.

Branik 07-03-2003 03:20 PM

Seems like I should watch the news a bit more.;)

GendoTheGreat 07-05-2003 06:33 AM

Did you guys hear about it yet? Looks like we can add Barry White to the list as well. Man, what a bummer.

Darth Eggplant 07-05-2003 03:46 PM

yes and Buddy Hacket also passed away, life is so unfair, all these great people gone, and Liz Friken Taylor still lingers on near the monkey man alien's Never Ever ranch.

Woodstock 07-05-2003 04:35 PM

Oh **** ! Man , I'm shocked ... but ... you
know what ? Right now somewhere a little
child dies of hunger ... and now and now and
now and now and now ...

GendoTheGreat 07-06-2003 10:46 AM

Ah, yes, but can a little child belt out "Fit as a Fiddle" while tapdancing at 100 beats-per-minute?

pleto4_ryan 07-06-2003 12:15 PM

well...some might have...if they had the way to live...:(

Branik 07-08-2003 04:40 PM

So the "Whale Of Love" has left us. Bummer.

GendoTheGreat 07-09-2003 08:55 AM

Now Buddy Ebsen as well.

Branik 07-09-2003 04:58 PM

He started out as a dancer and went into movies. He was going to be the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz but the makeup nearly killed him. Eventually he went into television. He's best known for The Beverly Hillbillies and Barnaby Jones.
