My games are here!
My Monkey Island 1 and 2 came today, on a single CD. I haven't had chance to get back and play them, but I can't wait :D

Yufster 03-02-2004 01:50 PM

This may sound slightly cool and awesome, but I love you.

Solomon 03-02-2004 01:51 PM

It does kinda sound that way, yah, but what do I care - I'm easy to please :)

Yufster 03-02-2004 02:11 PM

I really do, you know. I really do love you.

Ray Jones 03-02-2004 02:26 PM

should i've done anything causing that?

Solomon 03-02-2004 03:25 PM

Totally edited! Cheat! This is great though, I've only been here a week and someone already loves me. Yay :D

Joshi 03-02-2004 07:45 PM

I can't wait till you get home and find out they won't work on XP (assuming you're using that OS)

If that is the case, then a little friendly help in advance.

the rest is self explanatory.

Ray Jones 03-02-2004 08:04 PM

listen to this joshi's advice..

also try vdmsound to play the original exefiles..

oh and yufster.. it's ok if you dont love me.. :p

RoyTordesLegend 03-02-2004 09:18 PM

Just savour the moment........

.....I'd advise you buy a mini fridge and stack it with it as close to the PC as possible, order ten pizzas then lock the door and don't come out until you're finished both games..... may end up like Ray, a confused fruit loop with a panty fixation, who is sure Banarama were really singing about him in their 80's hit 'Robert De Niro's waiting'....but it's a risk you'll just have to take!!!

Ray Jones 03-02-2004 09:24 PM

boa, that explains alot..

*touches codewheel*

i'll never let you go..

*plays on*

Solomon 03-02-2004 11:11 PM

Yeah I downloaded those programs to make them work, thanks anyway though :)

I'm already stuck on Monkey 1, I need to break into the governers mansion - I already got the treasure and I think I know what to do with the sword fighting thing. Do I just keep learning insults like in Curse? Either way, its a good game so far :D

SamNMax 03-02-2004 11:32 PM

Damn you Solomon. It's people like you that made my copy of MI Madness backordered. You discust me! J/k

Orca Wail 03-02-2004 11:52 PM

*Pats Solomons head*

Good luck on your journey...

...just one warning... can never turn back. You will always hopelessly obsesse over love MI after this.

Oh, but don't become an otaku. Fresh air is GOOD for you.

Guybrush122 03-03-2004 12:25 AM

Orca is right. After MI1 and 2, you'll be an obsessive loon.

I mean, big fan.

Skinkie 03-03-2004 02:17 AM

Oh man, it's like an infant is coming into the world about to open his eyes and see the way things really are.

Mr Flibble 03-06-2004 09:02 PM

If you take the blue pill....

simian 03-06-2004 09:29 PM

I hate to burst your balloon, but I suspect the Yuf is only espousing love because you live in California - pretty close to San Francisco - where her true love resides.

I'm really sorry, but it's better to find out now before she breaks your heart ;)

Yufster 03-07-2004 06:07 AM

Simian, I did not know that. However, not, I do! Ha ha ha!

Did I say Ha ha ha?! I mean, woah! Woah... if you like the Monkey Island games, you should play Grim Fandango and Full Throttle! They are truly the best games in the world. They are so good your head could explode from all the excitement, so be careful when playing them. They were made by the excellent Tim Schafer. If you watch the opening credits of MI1, (Or MI2, or most other Good Games in the world) you'll see that he's listed as a programmer. That's part of the reason that MI was so awesome! And it is awesome, huh?

Well, it is time for you to play Grim Fandango. Go, now. I'll keep an eye on your head.

Orca Wail 03-07-2004 09:07 PM

...whatever you do, don't take the pill with the little "E" on it...
