Is LucasArts Really Hearing Us?
I don't think so. And I'm just about sick of listening to people say that we shouldn't make waves with LA on their forums. I think the alternative that we keep hearing (sending e-mail to is pure BS. And as impressive as the numbers on the petition are, they don't amount to much in the eyes of LA as they've proven to us by not even responding to our rallying cry for the release of Freelance Police.

If you want to shake 'em up, mail them a letter via snail mail. That's what will get their attention. The only reason you filter all your fan criticism to one e-mail address? Easy to ignore and even easier to delete!

Yeah, they're hearing us, but are they listening to us? Their inaction says NO!

Brushguy 03-16-2004 01:45 PM

Ronda Scott promised us that the management is being informed of the number and sentiment of the mail they're getting. Some guy also sent the petition to them. I think Ronda is pretty trustworthy since she's the one who gave us that nice picture of Sam and Max's office. ;)

SyntheticGerbil 03-16-2004 02:54 PM

Hearing and complying are completely different things. Don't be a bastard about it.

Sam&Max4ever 03-16-2004 03:10 PM

still sobbing
There can only be hope, but i must admit, that the longer time goes by, I cant see the light, because they havenīt commented on the reactions from fans, just shows they donīt giva a f***

Udvarnoky 03-16-2004 03:42 PM

This "Ronda" is an imposter. The real Ronda was murdered by LucasArts suits. They're gonna kill us all, mark my words!

Skinkie 03-16-2004 04:02 PM

My hope has pretty much reached the negligible amounts, it's depressing...

lagamorph321 03-16-2004 05:00 PM

I know the people reading these posts are die hards, so if we don't keep on asking for the game, who will? A snail mail letter wouldn't hurt either. I haven't send one yet, have you?

Dimensio 03-16-2004 06:37 PM

I sent a letter out on Saturday. Why has no one else sent snail mail!?

Also, was the petition ever mailed? I never heard back from the guy on that.

Brushguy 03-16-2004 09:28 PM

I don't know how to send snail mail. And, Sam&max4ever, despite your language, I must agree that Lucasarts has proven that they don't care about the fans any more. Evidence is backed up with their immediate reaction to all this fan complaining, by releasing a rotten war game that nobody will play. Barf.

I still haven't lost hope for Sam and Max 2. I went to the store today and hid Star Wars: Galaxies behind one of the Adventure Company games. Ironic.

Insert "Mike Nelson" (the person to whom your letters should be addressed) to the top.

Don't know how to send snail mail? Open a word processor such as Open Office -- -- or (ick) Microsoft Word, compose your letter, print it out, put it in an envelope, write the above address on the envelope, write your home address in the upper left corner of the envelope, affix proper postage (in the US, one $0.37 stamp should suffice), seal the envelope, put it into a place where a Post Office employee will pick it up to be sorted and delivered.

Also, see for a sample letter (it's not the latest revision) and look further down in that topic to see where I offered up URLs for sample business letter formats, should you wish to make your letter look more professional.

The letter that actually went out (with my personal identification removed) can be seen at

Ah, go master your pasta.

Oh man, I'm such an idiot. Sorry, nobody told me "snail mail" is an internet term for "postal letter." I haven't been around that long. :D

So, yes, I have sent some snail mail. :)

tmarques 03-17-2004 11:29 PM

I bet Lucas Arts is already talking to their attorneys about turning this cancellation into a tax write-off. They probably think it'll save them more money than finishing and releasing the game would. So I'm not keeping my hopes up :(

Murray the Chao 03-21-2004 04:26 AM

I sent LucasArts an E-Mail full of insults MI-Style!

Never got a response though.

I would have loved to hear how they felt about having their own insults used against them!

Skinkie 03-21-2004 04:40 AM

Sending insults of any kind is gonna have the oppisite of the desired outcome.

PrinceOfDarknes 03-31-2004 11:54 AM

They're not hearing us! They just said that to give us false hope. Damn you LucasArts. **** you to hell.

misanthrope 03-31-2004 07:09 PM

One of us needs to run up in Mike Nelson's office with a bomb of some sort. I think it would get a smidge more attention. Plus hey, it would be fun. :monkbomb:

Scummbuddy 03-31-2004 07:32 PM

Death threats and the like are not funny. It makes you look rediculous, especially when the FBI finds out.

Skinkie 04-01-2004 02:09 AM

Especially when they shoot you in the chest.

toenail1 04-01-2004 06:50 PM

The FBI is serious as heck about bomb threats. They can now put a tap on your line for saying that.

Our government has a lot more powers than you can even imagine, just research FEMA. It's an ACTUAL government association that can suspend all of our constitutional and human rights anytime they want to.

So don't look past the fact that the FBI can find out who you are and do something about it.

I can see the headline now. "Unknown assailant terrorizes LucasArts HQ. Places a DVD copy of Gigli on Director's desk."

misanthrope 04-02-2004 12:19 AM

maybe they need to watch "Passion" ...

at bomb-point

up yours FBI

StonerDave&Max 04-02-2004 01:16 AM

God save the Sam & Max!!!!
Im never giving up hope, as foolish as it may seem. I just cant see me in one month not playing a fresh ass sam and max game. If this dream of mine by some chance dies... I just dont know what ill do.

Skinkie 04-02-2004 01:56 AM

I garuntee you won't be doing it in one month. Even if they did by some random decision uncancel it, it would take longer than that to complete and get it on the shelves.

Samnmax221 04-02-2004 02:16 AM

Evan after all that wasted work they did for their loving fans

Skinkie 04-03-2004 03:28 AM

Previously Loving, now bitter and angry.

SyntheticGerbil 04-03-2004 07:59 AM

I still love LucasArts and I want to spray my love juice all over them like a White Tiger.

Dr Edison 007 04-09-2004 10:28 AM

Well, good for you, you're the only one not afraid to admit it.

Samnmax221 04-10-2004 02:01 AM

Is their some reference to sigfreid and roy their?!?!?!?!?

THose guys are very strange you know there not just buisness partners?!

toenail1 04-10-2004 03:14 AM

Places a DVD copy of Gigli on Director's desk."

WHOAH, thats even worse than a bomb threat, don't go there.

misanthrope 04-10-2004 04:34 AM

who said there was anything wrong with bomb threats? heck, Bush sure doesnt care

Easy daniel sa! sloooooowly..... fers goes dah wasss ... den comes dah wass offff . come on, i teech monkey

Murray the Chao 04-15-2004 06:50 PM

They claim that they are, but I am sure that those scurvy dogs are not listening to a single word we say.

threepwood3 04-16-2004 12:07 AM

I seriously doubt it. A game doesn't become uncanceled all of a sudden. Thats just not how it works these days.

Samnmax221 04-17-2004 12:02 AM

Maybe maybe not
