Yeah I wanted to get that too, but I already have all those games on xbox. ;_;

I s'pose the mods would make it worthwhile though.

TiE23 12-29-2006 03:07 AM

Oh, almost forgot.

Got this, too.

Got this Creative Zen Vision: M 30gb as a replacement for my 40gb Zen touch.

This 320 gb Western Digital external HD also arrived today, and was an xmas present.

I also spent some of my gift card money:

Thanks for the link, but I can't see why anyone would want to watch a movie on that tiny screen. It would ruin the experience for me. Stuff like music videos and Family Guy, on the other hand, would be a nice time-killer.

I got it because I don't have any of them, and I don't have an XBOX. Plus, I don't use mods for the games. Just the patchs. :p

The screen is surprisingly clear for having such a small size. You shouldn't lose too much of the 'experience'.

Well, as a movie-buff, I really want to get great sound and all details when watching a movie. Even though the screen of the Zen is good for its size, it's still physically too small to provide that.

And Jebbers, I don't know yet, but I'll get back to you after I've seen it. :p All I know is that it's a Russian vampire movie.

My bro gave me Call of Duty 3 and Rampage : Total Destruction for Christmas. I gave them a spin this week and COD3 is pretty neat with the wiimote. Also Lt. Robichaud is easily the best COD character ever !

Rampage is pretty cool too. Me and My brother were fans of the original on NES, so I still think the game is alright despite all the bad ratings. The game is pretty shallow, but smashing buildings with the wiimote is really fun :p

Just came in the mail from newegg. XFX nVidia GeForce 7300 GT (AGP) card. Big upgrade from my TI 4200. Only a temp. solution since it's AGP but I can't afford to rehaul my machine right now and I can't play NWN2 with my current card.

Might not be able to play it even with that, if the horror stories of NWN2's performance ring true.

It runs perfectly so far. :) I haven't really had time to play but I got a chance to just run around to test it out to make sure that card was gonna fix it's problems. I think most of the horror stories were fixed with nVidias new driver.

A '92 Toyota Previa to be exact (bleh). They were gonna buy a new one in a few months anyway, I just sort of...sped up the process.

TiE23 01-07-2007 01:34 AM

Urrgg. Mobo fried on us Dec. 22nd when my sister started-up CoD2. So we got this...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...157-097-04.jpg
[ASRock 939Dual-VSTA Socket 939 ATX AMD Motherboard]
$112 shipping incl. from a Canadian selling it on eBay like-new used. Idiot thought that my Zip code was 981XX (Yes, he wrote X's)

Also happens to be one of the only mobos that support both AGP and PCI-E for upgrade later.

Might as well get a new CPU when we need to replace ****, so I got a small upgrade from a <3 year old P4 3.2ghz to a <2 year old AMD 3700+

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...103-622-04.jpg
[AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego 2.2GHz 939 Processor]
$86 from NewEgg with free 3-day shipping.

Then we put it all together and start it up. But nothing happens and we smell burn plastic... PSU fried on us!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...7587774_ra.jpg
[Dynex - 400-Watt ATX CPU Power Supply]
($75-$25) $50 after using gift card from Best-Buy.

$250, 2 weeks downtime, a format of the C Drive... Thank goodness for that external HDD I got a month or two ago.

Ha. You should've checked the power supply first

BongoBob 01-08-2007 01:31 AM

Sucks TiE.

At least now you have a better processor as well as room to upgrade to PCI-e later :)
