This is the second Incarnation OF the KotOR Mod request thread. The last has reached the point of usefulness to new and long time Holowan users. The Old thread will remain, But is now Unstuck.

Same deal as before. Do you have an idea for a KotOR mod you would like, But don't know how to make it or have the time. Then this is where you can make your mod request.

Please be as descriptive about what you would like by including pics, back story, stats, or anything else that may be required for your mod idea. Even with that there is no guarantee that your request will be made, but there are many Holowan modders that will do what they can to make your request a reality.

To help keep this thread tidy and useable, keep the discussion on topic. Thank you.

Malak Switch the story by making Malak into the Hero <This one is an interesting idea BUT would require a complete rewrite of the game. But you never know.>

one that would help a lot if possible would be to change the faces of some of the npc's you talk to. the same faces are used way too much.

That would be difficult: even if we have many good people at retexturing here, the problem is that it is a huge job. If you simply override the existing texures, then you only change the appearance of the npcs but they will all look the same again. What would have to be done, is extract the .utc files and make custom textures for each of them which would be just a crazy job plus the fact that it could cause problems with cutscenes in certain cases depending on what files have bee extracted and placed in the override folder.

i know its not an easy job and i know without setting a new face to each npc you'll just end up with a modified face for all. the only part i dont know if possible is if you can mod the game to give specific npc's certain faces.

if you remember how it was talking to a guy who you killed a min ago now alive with a different name, you'll know this kind of mod would be worth a try. just reskin-ing the face would be enough.

Dathomir Sorceress Robe
 

At pcgamemods in pc skins there is the Alaya Secura skin which includes Dathomir Sorceress robes for the twi'lek skin. Its a modified Anakin Skywalker robe but i would like to make it available to all females. I can't reskin though because i have no clue how to. The robes have blue skin sections that would need to be changed for the human skin tones. Thanks for reading I hope this can be made

a mod to switch the story would be great

You play Malak (jedi with jaw version) and you do the same story line but Revan wasnt killed, it was Malak. you will figure out that you were a sithlord blah blah blah and Malak's appearnce would be swapped to revans. the minor problems would be the Taris cutscenes, but the first battle and second can be edited with text i beleve. this would be awsome, since Malak Jedi model is cool

That would require considerable dialog editing. The scope of a project like this is likely to be very immense.

Maybe a simple script that would give you Revan's robe when you hit Max Darkside and a recolored variant when you hit Max Lightside. If you could somehow give the disguises as robes that have awesome stats and abilities (which are given and taken away if you fall under the max), that would be pretty nice as well.

To answer your question: No, it's not possible. Party size is hard coded into the game engine. Attempting to mod the game engine is a serious breach of the EULA and would most likely result in a law suit :(

Is there a mod that you can be darth vader??

This is probably the closest that we have gotten. There are a few people working on Vader helmets and masks, however the models are proving troublesome.

Please note that the site I linked you to is in Russian. Just click on the the button with the hammer on it in the middle of the page, and you'll be fine. I probably wouldn't bother with the readme though :D

There aren't any screen shots to be seen, however this thread does mention some black reskins. You may want to try PM'ing a few of the individuals in that thread to see if they have what you're looking for.

On a side note, please be sure to utilize the Request sticky at the top of the page for future requests. Keeps the moderators from having to move it for you :)

DarthStraker also made a reskin of Darth Vader's mask. I know it is in the sith Armada mod, I don't know if he made a separate download.

I was wodnering is any skinners and Reskin HK-47 to look more evil i was trhinking a Shiny Black Body and glowing red eyes i woudl love it and i really hope soembody does it

Are there any mods that modify Revans Robes so that they have the black cape in the back that revan had at the peak of his power??

My Revan The White/Star Forge Booster Pack gives you the revans robe with cape and is maskless, with the regular Darth Revans Robes, The Star Forge Robes, and a new white set the Revan The White Robes, as well as giving you the full masked versions, so you can choose either one to wear, the link is also in my sig!

Mono-Giganto has a mod that gives you Revans Robes with Cape and is Maskless at pcgamemods.

maybe one of the best mods i can think of would be a Battlefeild,

ok u could use the Valley of the Jedi Map, Put about 20 Republic guys on one side and about 30 sith on the other, add some jedi and dark jedi and wala, Early Battle of Geonosis lol

it sounds like an easy task to you pros, but im just a small little player, i know nothin about that stuff hehe

but such a battlefeild would be just, wow fun!

25 v. 25 and the mod already causes enormous lagging - not well supported by the game engine...(the mod was more like a big joke)

To install, unzip the file and put it into the MODULES folder, not the override folder. Then type "warp bigwar" without quotes in the cheat console.

And MaterBobo, next time instead of making double posts, you could use the edit functionat the bottom of your posts ;)

Wow, I don't even know my own link, must be cause the only chance I get at using pcgamemods is on another computer, 'til now anyways, I can actually get to pcgamemods now. (After a span of.... 5 months or so...)

Is it possible to make a Female PC that has long hair?

Unfortunately, new hairdos are impossible at this time: it would require making a new head models. There are still restrictions as to what can be do with models and new heads fall within those restrictions. Check the "Guide for the Newbie" sticky for a link concerning restrictions on models - you can also use this guide to get started with modding, wich I encourage you do try :)

it might be possible to reskin a different head to fit what you need. Possibly the male head with long hair but you would need to be one great reskinner!

hi i have an good idea for a mod too....
think that must be possible, a mod or quest were you can activate the killerprogramm from hk-47. a timed trigger were the stats from hk gets really high when you solved a little quest and make him so too a really mean tough killerdroid :)

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking, but I believe it may have been asked before... Anyways, you could use TK102's savegame editor to buff up HK. I do sometimes. :D

I was going to try something like this. Didn't realize how bad the game would lag. Thanks for the info. I would of been upset if I figured out all those coordinates just to find out it was unplayable.

If you want to boost HK-47's stats when a certain event occurs, it is possible to attach a script to a converstation that would boost up his stats either permanently (like when you repair him) or temporarily.

I was going to mention HK's repairs as well. This is easier than ever now with my HK-47 Repair Kit mod that I released the other day :D

Hi there, i've spent hours searching for one simple thing... a decent looking male head. PLEASE, if you either feel like making my day (or month) and make a male face model or two with long, interesting hair...like from one of the female characters... or if you know where i could find such a thing... gimme. I'm tired of beating the game with only female characters.

there is an Anikan mod that I believe actually uses one of the female heads on Orason's site . Just a warning it is in Russian you will need to click on the hammer to download once you find the file. I tried to get you a direct link to the page with the mod, but I was able to get the site to come up at work. If your not able to get to it I'll try to get you a direct link when I get home.

Using Malaks Hilt.
The Stock Blue Colour.
The Same Blade Length as Malaks.

With the Stats.

Damage = 4-26
Critical Threat = 17-20x2+ 2-12
Universal Damage Bonus. +1-10 Physical.
Attack Modifier = +8
Blaster Deflection = +8

Why not try your hand at modding and to do it by yourself ? :) This is a good mod to get started if you want ;)
Start by reading the "Guide for the Newbie" sticky to get the tools you need for this and then go to the " DO you want to mod SW-Kotor? " sticky to find a tutorial on how to make a lightsaber. There are a few of them, including an easy one made by Achillies.

i reckon I can handle the changing of stats. Would the Hilt and Blade Length be particularly difficult to accomplich?

You cannot change the model, only retexture. That excludes changing the lenght of the blade but from what I understand, you want to use malak's saber so no need to edit this.
