I, like many others I suppose have just been given a shitload of gmail invites. In the unlikely event that someone who wants gmail hasn't got it yet, post here and I'll probably give you an invite.

What's so great about it?

free, 1gb space, spiffy interface. you want in?

Well... uh... I suppose this isn't exactly the best first post to make (I prefer just reading message boards rather than contributing, I don't know why). But, in the event that you still have an invite left after giving some to other, more worthy people, I could really use one.

There must be so many invites floating about now, I wonder if they'll get rid the invite system. Or perhaps they're coming out of beta soon.

Heee, it was like 10 days ago when Benny didn't even have one - I go away for a week and they give him 5 invites. I dunno, Gmail eh. I've been given some more invites too, but not five.

I just got another lot, best thing is to pm if you want one to avoid 2 people giving someone an invite.

I have no friends see, but as soon as I get rid of them gmail gives me more!

Dude, I wasn't commenting on your social inadequency (well, maybe a little), I was just pointing out.

Just a thought though, if I'm a Gmail member, do I get invitations to hand out? Or do I need to be special like ptdc?

Before it seemed random, I only got one about a day after I joined and then no more, but recently they seem to be giving them out like crazy.

I'm not sure if anyone has any invites left and if they'd be willing to send me one even though I'm new, but I'd love one if anyone is willing. :)

Hmm... I've had a gmail account for more than a month, and i still have no invites. Maybe it's becuase i don't use the account (only 6 emails in my inbox ;))

I've got six invies floating around that I'd be happy to get rid of. I'll give them to anyone who sends me a private message with their email in it. That means: don't just post your email in this thread - actually message me. Otherwise I won't know who's asked elsewhere, etc.

The GMail invite system is the best viral marketing campaign ever. Okay not "best," but, a good one.
