Highest Kill Amount?

So what is your highest kill amount and what map did you do it on?

I got 85 kills once on Kashyyyk Docks level as the Imps.

Kurgan 10-08-2004 06:40 PM

I think I got like 83 (give or take a couple, but it was in the 80's) on Geonosis. I basically ended up guarding my "base" (all other command points captured) and I was alone in an AT-TE. Thankfully I was a pilot and standing next to an Astromech droid so I was near invincible, and wiped out their entire army, even though it was me vs. about 50 of them.

Note: This was in "Instant Action." I doubt I'd do that well online with all the choppiness and lag. ; )

InuYahsa 10-08-2004 08:53 PM

On Online, Hoth, as the Empire, when the rebels had 5 men, I killed 92 men, 99 if you count my own men, didn't die once, and used nothing but an Imperial Pilot and an AT-ST. I'm stunned. Though, it may considered cheap the way I attained it. I have High-Speed Internet, I was direct from the modem, and I stood in front of the command post and killed them as they spawned, without capturing any command posts. forming my grand total. I got 4 awards. The best thing was, everyone saw my incredible score:D . I am so cool.

Jaden Malip 10-09-2004 03:48 AM

My record's 92 on Bespin Platforms.

Just by normal clonetrooper, as they come running through the tunnel (or rolling) shoot the hell out of em.

Here

Pho3nix 10-09-2004 03:49 AM

55 Kills, on Tatooine.

Neon 10-09-2004 03:58 AM

64 on hoth, I went with my snowspeeder to the imperial spawn, and killed everything that spawned with the atst :D

vwjoker 10-09-2004 04:22 AM

mine is 99, I dont think I have managed to break that 100 barrier yet.
Depending on the level, and how people spawn... that rate can be pretty consistant.
On the docks one, I can usually get 80+ on headshots alone.... love that level!

However, I've seen a guy called "nasty" (he's floating around on the leaderboard), he was on my server and we were playing the Endor level, and he racked up 128+ .... but he really hated those ewoks!!

Alegis 10-09-2004 04:41 AM

105, geonosis.

:D

Yes, was with clones but I had something like 80 with CIS as well. You just need to steal the gunship... If you're CIS you dont need to fear the geonosian starfighters which are way overpowered IMHO) but stealing it its of course harder.

I dont think its over-powered.

bah thats just wrong
this kind of behaviour takes away the joy of online gaming

it is considdered laming
and nothing to be proud of

InuYahsa 10-09-2004 05:28 AM

Hmm... I'll try to avoid this.

=tom= 10-09-2004 06:16 AM

nothing against u dude , i mean every1 wants to tryout things

but i was in a server yesterday
and the map was Kashyyyk (i was on rebel)
and rebs got only 2 cp's , and the imps where just using tie's and circeling around the spawn points(and shoot all the spawning ppl)
i think the map lasted 2 minutes

its really frustrating when u spawn and without even making 1 step u got killed , over and over again

Sam Fisher 10-09-2004 06:38 AM

My highest was 93/2 the Ice Planet (not Hoth, the other one which name escapes me)

Nudnik 10-09-2004 08:23 AM

It's usually pretty easy to rack up the points in theed if you have a vehicle.

the cis need some more things things for vs the gunship. LEC/PAndemic thought "ok droids got gunship, CIS got geonosian thing. Lets make em the same strength for balancing". The starship is incredibly small and can easily take out the gunship. the gunship may be lucky if it can hit it even once with its slow blasters

JediJohn 10-09-2004 09:57 AM

74's my record in sp on rhen var citadel

Cpt. Bannon 10-09-2004 10:21 AM

103 w/0 deaths is my record. i was rebels on rhen var harbor. this was MP right after the game came out...i slaughtered people as they came running towards me in my combat speeder :D

Red Cell 10-09-2004 10:25 AM

91/4 on the map that has the Spire using a clone trooper. Take the spire and they always come running up the hill to get it back.

JawaJoey 10-09-2004 12:33 PM

Rhen Var Harbor, imperial pilot, AT-AT, 90 kills. But my score was only 73 because my stupid teammates kept getting squished. So really, I killed 107 people. :D

Kurgan 10-09-2004 01:02 PM

That is a good point. Most FPS games have respawn temporory invulnerability or spawn with higher health that counts down (to prevent someone camping a spawn point and racking up easy kills).

Hopefully this will be included in future patches.

Having an "honor code" against spawn camping is no fix at all.

A lot of the problems with SWBF in general are things we take for granted in other FPS games. Pandemic could learn a lot by looking at games like Quake3:TA, UT2k4, Jedi Academy, etc.

I should add something to that:

In UT2k4, your "spawn invulnerability" GOES AWAY if you fire. That would prevent people from defending a spawn point too easily.

Think about it, you are "capturing" a control point and the enemy is respawning all around you. You would have NO CHANCE to stop them if they were all invulnerable. So by taking it away by firing (like UT2k4) this would both protect people from spawn campers whittling their team down to nothing, but also keep the challenge up. If you are able to fire, you don't need to be invincible. It's only there to stop people who are still loading from getting killed cheaply with no chance to fight back.

Like the guys on Omaha beach getting mowed down by machineguns the instant they open the door on their transport...

Spitface 10-09-2004 09:17 PM

i was playing in the dune sea not multiplayer and not easy either :p and i was using a tie and got like 87 kills by dive bombing them and on the ground i got like 18 and what i love is i only died twice.
But i dont think i did good cuz the most of the server i was in a tie.
I took a screenshot of the match results but i have so many screens itll take me along time to find it :(

JawaJoey 10-09-2004 10:54 PM

Point? I had no point.

But good point. :p

It wasn't even the just spawned guys that got smushed. Spawn camping hasn't seemed like an issue to me yet.

Kurgan 10-09-2004 11:19 PM

I should say you brought up an important point.

Point taken... ; )

monkey joe 10-10-2004 12:04 AM

my record is 140, at endor on a speeder bike just waiting at their command post popping of little Ewoks and any rebels i could find, plus a ran over a few wookiees too. Fun, but cruel, but fun...

vwjoker 10-11-2004 04:50 AM

My new record is 160, same as above... on endor ewok bashing in an AT-ST.

Joy! :)

Doomie 10-11-2004 04:57 AM

160, jeezum crow! I thought my 151 was a lot...

I got it shooting wookiees into oblivion with an AAT on the docks...

rambone13 10-11-2004 08:01 AM

i'm sorry but, spawn killing and using vehicles to kill everyone and rack up points is nothing to brag about. Do 100 kills using only your gun and feet, then i'd be impressed. And not on single player either.

^^ Agreed. In a game like this, where the AI is dumb as paint, single player kill counts really don't show much, especially when most people seem to be spawncamping with vehicles to get their 'amazing' scores.

shrinker 10-11-2004 08:23 AM

On some maps it's spawn-kill or be spawn-killed. You can't blame the kids for doing it. You've got to blame the game for making it too easy, and too difficult to do anything else.

Clearly the Lucasarts testers were far to gentlemanly in their play tactics.

Blimbo 10-11-2004 08:24 AM

Someone brought up a code of conduct they have on their server in another game. For them, spawn camping was okay as long as it wasn't the enemies last spawn. It would be more realistic to allow spawn camping, but then realism is out the window in a game anyway. Is Vader going to order his AT-STs back just because he has forced the Rebels back? No he is going to crush the puny Rebel Alliance into oblivion.

i dont really count an ewok kill as a player kill, they're way too easy :p

NomAnorEs 10-11-2004 10:12 AM

I got on Geonosis, as a gunship pilot, a 169 kill, no teamkilling, and only with the missiles that came with the ship, only one death and by crashing (I've got pics, I you don't believe me I'll post them later...)

In Kashyyyk - Docks, as an Imperial scout I killed 125, without being hit nor killed, reloaded every time by a pilot, the pity is that I always tried (and did) to aim to the head, but SWBF hit detection is very poor, because it gave me 14 headshots, when most of my kills were at first hit. Also have pics...

Iceman_IX 10-11-2004 02:07 PM

75, Hoth. On the first day I played. No spawn camping just marching through the level with an AT-AT.

and there you have it, folks! the reason why buddy killed 92 men. Pretty cheap if you ask me, anyone can camp inside a spawn point, in an AT-AT or AT-ST and pick off the helpless infantry men.

monkey joe 10-11-2004 03:17 PM

So, the question was : Highest Kill Amount, not highest fair kill amount.

JawaJoey 10-11-2004 06:48 PM

Woah woah woah, FAIR kill amount? That's totally different. I think a big number is enough to brag over no matter how you did it, only for fun though, it's not like you have mad skillz for spawn camping. As long as you're not laming actual players, a score of 200 in an AT-AT is still pretty damn awesome, I think.

ExSQUEEZEme! 10-11-2004 06:53 PM

.......

Ok, then what were all your High Fair Kill amounts?

Mine was 53-0 on kashyyk docks sniping/orbital striking (on ps2, with 4 people, I did snipe them a lot too though, not all my kills were bot kills) I beleive I even got tank buster, because of all my kills with the recon droid....that, public enemy, dead eye and maybe one other award.

:deathii:

Exactly my point.

IgnusAn 10-11-2004 07:00 PM

31, on Kashyyyk (docks). Sniping.

I'm a poor guy.
But, sure, my record is not based on Ewok or tank killing.

monkey joe 10-11-2004 07:02 PM

Fair kill amount

i got about 50 on hoth, just running through the echo base CP'S popping off people in the head as i go. It was fun really.
