Types of Government
Idea scrapped!

Pho3nix 01-07-2005 03:20 PM

I agree. But that would be abit too complicated though.

darthfergie 01-07-2005 04:20 PM

I think that's pretty much already determined by who the sides are. There is no reason to have it choosable.
Seriously, just think about it.
Empire = dictatorship
Rebel = democracy/republic

Nokill 01-07-2005 10:20 PM

yust get some jawa's make PIE's! and the troops will come by themself :D

Alegis 01-08-2005 07:01 AM

"communism" doesn't really sound star wars like ;)

I reckon it'll be the most simple system of all; everyone is their own boss.

swphreak 01-08-2005 09:30 AM

This isn't RoN, it's a Star Wars RTS.

Com Raven 01-08-2005 12:28 PM

Yeah, that is very nice in RoN or Civ, but dioesn't really fit in with SW story.

Sithmaster_821 01-08-2005 12:40 PM

Especially a Star Wars game more focused on battle.

DK_Viceroy 01-08-2005 01:17 PM

Why does an idea like that sound like it was created bt Windu?:p

FroZticles 01-08-2005 02:01 PM

Because some other people like RoN as well I guess....

DK_Viceroy 01-08-2005 03:10 PM

That or it could be Windu in Disguise.

Sithmaster_821 01-08-2005 05:43 PM

No, its not Windu. He didn't bring up gunships.

Jamps 01-08-2005 08:42 PM

I'm not "Windu". Anyway, I thought maybe formal governments would add a twist to the game. But of course you couldn't have a communist government in STAR WARS, they would have to change th names around a bit.

lukeiamyourdad 01-09-2005 01:45 PM

Economical systems might be possible to an extent but since they stated that it would be simple, I doubt we'll get anything like this.

Besides, it makes sense if you're creating your civ from scratch but a Rebel Dictatorship and an Imperial Democracy sounds too weird.

Oh by the way, monarchy doesn't exactly equal dictatorship. Constitutionnal monarchy does exist.

I know you're not Windu mate.

Hey remember, no Republic/CIS so...he did leave.
