My New Projects
I got several new projects going on right now.
First one is my AT-TE that either LightNinja or NeoMarz will animate. http://img95.exs.cx/img95/6397/atte7vz.jpg Next is my RAS, reskined for S-J-Cull's Geonosis Map. http://img95.exs.cx/img95/4611/ras1dw.jpg Next is the Naboo Senatorial Barge that was destoryed at the beginning of EP II. http://img95.exs.cx/img95/7073/shot00198fa.jpg Next is a Trade Federation MMT. http://img95.exs.cx/img95/1079/shot00211nq.jpg Also Im working on a EP 3 Space Battles map that will be identical to siege_destoryer, except its ffa/tffa with the RAS instead of the destroyer, and a Droid Control Ship Hangar instead of the Rebel Hangar. Also being made for this map is: ARC-170 fighter, the 2 New Jedi Starfighters, Droid Bomber, and several others. The clone rifle is bassed off of the one in Star Wars Battle Front. The origional weapon is a german MG-42 machine gun used extensivly in WWII. Im thinking about reskinning it with the BF skin cause it might look better.
Also I will be making models such as a tour suv and a helicopter for Sith-J-Cull's Jurancor Park v2 map, and an at-te, spider bot, dwarf spider bot, gunship, ras, droid control ship, techno union ship, and maybe some others for his Geonosis map as well. I got about 90 of the vehicles done and I got to reskin some, so expect some neat things for thoes. And I am currently partnering with Slider, helping him with JA+ by providing saber models and holsters for his latest updates so look there too. And some intresting supprises planned as always. |

Also in the works is TFFA/FFA Raid4 by Orbitius. This map will based on a WWII type battle field with trenches and all. There will be vehicles and Artillery. Here is some of that artillery ingame:

Heres a sneak peek of some of the vehicles for a map me and ORbitius are working on. Its based on Omaha Beach: D-Day Invasion. One of the features of the map will be a big battleship with the turrets you see below in the pictures. They are stationary vehicles that are rotatable and have moving barrels. (Some Skins are from SDK's from other games).

bomber skin and parts of it are from bf, as are the skins for some of the other vehices. stationalry vehicles are very simple to make. just give the vehicle a max speed of 1 and a min speed of 1.

yes this map will be based off of omaha beach from bf1942 version and mohaa version, plus pics from the actual war.

Did you get permission to use DICE's models and textures for those planes, tanks and weapons?
I know that the EULA that came with the games sure as hell didn't. I'm sure EA would not be pleased to see materials taken from their games and put into another without their consent or knowledge. |
Hatrus i just found a usefull program to record audio from the desktop so i might get you some sounds for the ATTE or the Royal naboo cruiser from Ep2

Dice released an SDK knowing full well that the materials could and would be used in mods for other games. If they hand not wanted this they would have either not released an SDK or a file converter that could convert their files into common formats suck as .max or .3ds. This isnt the same as going into a game that has no sdk and takeing files from the source.

Although I think it'd be pretty fun to have a WW2 themed mod for JA, you still aren't allowed to use DICE/EA's materials in any other game than Battlefield.
Maybe you weren't paying any attention to the License Agreement to install the Battlefield MDT. Not many people do. Here are the more important parts that you would have missed- 'solely for your personal noncommercial use in connection with EA's products' 'EA owns all of the rights, title and interest in the Tools & Materials.' 'you may not use the Tools & Materials to promote another product or business' Now, as long as you take down the offending (not so much offensive, as they are against their license agreement, and these forums are hosted by people that wouldn't want to get sued by ea) images from this thread then you should be fine. You can always shoot an email off to them, and ask for permission, but you'd probably have a better chance asking the easter bunny for a BMW. That doesn't keep you from making a ww2 mod, but you'd need to make new models with new textures to replace the ones that are from battlefield. |

well i doubt anything will happen. we've all seen many many ports like predator, master chief, etc. posted here adn nothing happened. some of the models are edited as are the skins so its not direct ports for all. and im willing to takes the risk with releasing the mod/map. ill talk to orbitius tho. but thx for bringing it to my attention.

good call i wouldnt have caught the sneaky bastard if you hadnt mentioned this. i know know that my cousin who is learing to model (by me) registered a bunch of forums and posted **** about me. ive found 2 so far: here and on pcgm. he said he would get even with me cause i refused to take him to best buy to buy battlefront and the rpg thing battles or something. what better way then to make me look like an ass on my own computer. sorry guys, what ever he wrote im sure it was very objectional.

Heres my newest project, a map with Orbitius. The map is Omaha Beach D-Day Invasion. It has a bunker system and will remind you of the bunkers in MOHAA. It also has an air strip, and the two imfamous pillboxes. For the allies is a carrier with planes, and there will be a battleship using stationary vehicles as turrets.
Weapons and Vehicles for this map are as follows: Panzer Tank - Fires standard anti-tank round plus MG Nebelwerfer - Fires Rocket-Artillery rounds at tanks Junker Fighter - Fires 2 MG's and drops bombs V2 Rocket - Player guided kamikazi vehicle Sherman Tank - Fires standard anti-tank round plus MG Mustang Fighter - Fires 2 MG's and fires unguided missiles Goblin Jet Fighter - Fires 4 MG's faster air superiority fighter Battleship Turrets - Fires linked bunker-busting rounds AA Guns - Fires 4 rapid heavy MG's at oncomming aircraft Colt 1911 Handgun - Replaces blaster_pistol M1A1 Tompson SMG - Replaces blaster_r Gewehr 43 Sniper Rife - Replaces disruptor MP44 Assault Rifle - Replaces heavy_repeater M1A1 Bazooka - Replaces merr_sonn (kills tanks in 4 shots) M35 Potato Masher Grenade - Replaces thermal TNT Trip Bombs - Replaces trip_mine C4 Explosive - Replaces detpack Possible Allied Player Model Possible Axis Player Model As you can see this wil lbe like a mini-mod that requires no programming. There will be a trailer released later dorected by Zappa_0. Expect action packed scenes from that. the map looks great as do the models, however I'm worried that FPS of this map with tons of people will be horrible, great work though hatrus, when I saw those pics I thought it was BF1942! :D
