So in my first purchase ever from eBay, I bought Dark Forces: Jedi Knight so I could learn a bit more of the story for JO and JA. The purchace was successful and it arrived last Friday.

The Problem: I have Windows XP. Why this is a problem: the game doesn't recognize anything above DirectX5

The Question: Is there a way to play this game on Windows XP or am I gonna have to roll our old computer back to Windows 98?

Hmm, that one's new on me, certainly. Although this won't be of any immediate help, JK should work on XP. It works on mine (albeit a little buggy when loading/saving levels sometimes).
I thought there was a sticky about running it on XP, but I that seems to be just for Dark Forces.

Anyways, I'm sure someone will be along soon who can help ya :)

It works fine with service pack two, otherwise, it didn't work for me at all.

Have you tried running it in compatibility mode? (right click at the game .exe, select properties, after that I think you can figure out by yourself)
