Sequel Coming?

I just saw this book Star Wars Republic Commando Triple Zero (Paperback) listed at Amazon. Could it be a tie-in for the next RC game?
Its scheduled to come out in Feb 2006.

Really?! Awesome, thanks for finding this! :) I don't know if it's a tie-in, but that would be cool. All I'm excited about is a new Republic Commando book! Hard Contact was awesome!

EDIT: You can pre-order it here, and it looks as if it's by Karen Traviss - the same author as Hard Contact. Can't wait!

(Apologies for double-post.)

I e-mailed Karen Traviss, asking if the book was going to be tied-in with an Republic Commando sequel. Here's her response (she responded FAST).

Quote:

Hi Joe. It's the sequel to Hard Contact, and it has all the Omega Squad characters plus Delta Squad and the Null ARCs that I introduced in Targets. It'll be published on February 28. It has nothing to do with any game.

Hope that helps.

Best
KT

What's "Targets" that she mentions?

I liked the Hard Contact too, so I'll get it, even if its not a tie-in.

Targets is another Star Wars book she made. You can see all of the books she made at KarenTraviss.com

So in answer to your question, sadly no, no sequel appears to be planned anytime soon.

Actually, I heard the sequel is going to be shown at the E3 convention this year. Also, how do you get something put under your name on the forum?

You have to reach 1000 posts, and then an option appears in your profile.

I read that book, and it was awesome. It would've made a great game.
